97. Saved

Diana's P.O.V

Austin covered my mouth with his palm and continuously screaming won't help, so I decided to just shut up. Tears started forming around my eyes and I couldn't help it but let them fall and with that, Austin removed his hand.

My cry is followed by soft sobs. Austin placed his hand on my cheek, cupping it, and it made me flinch, because I thought he'd hurt me.

"Diana, please stop crying. I didn't mean to hurt you" he wipes my tears with his thumb.

"G-go a-away" I said in between sobs.

"Diana-" he was about to continue but a loud bang was heard and the door breaks down.

I immediately removed Austin's hand from my cheeks and ran outside didn't even dare to look back and thank the person who just fucking save my life.

Niall's P.O.V

My decision is final.

I walk backwards and run fast, pushing the wooden door with my body and it breaks down. Austin's eyes are in shock and I immediately landed my fist on his face which earned me a punch that hit me on the eye.

I pulled the collar of his polo shirt, didn't even care if it's expensive, and push him towards the wall. I pulled my right arm and made a direct hit on his jaw. I was about to make another move but Diana immediately shouted,

"Stop!" with that, I let him go and Austin fell on the floor.

Diana started walking towards our direction and I am surprise to what she did. She slapped Austin's face even though his face is already busted and filled with blood. After slapping him in the face, Diana pulled my arm and we both walk away.

"Stop! Diana!" Austin shouted but neither of us dared to look back.

Diana's P.O.V

I pulled Niall's arm which made me feel a little bit uncomfortable, but honestly the feeling of his skin is unforgettable. The way it felt a few months back is still the same with the way it feels right now. I literally dragged him headed to our clinic. I push the glass door open and the company's nurse greeted me.

"What can I do for you?" The nurse asked.

"Can I borrow your first aid kit?" I said.

"Yeah, sure" she open one of the cabinets and handed me a box that has a cross in the center, colored with red.

I pulled Niall on one of the areas where we are not so exposed because knowing that the nurse is watching me treating Niall's hand and face makes me feel very uncomfortable. I told Niall to sit on the couch, while I sat beside him. I open the first aid kit, and pulled out a cotton and a bottle of Betadine. I poured an amount of Betadine on the cotton and started treating Niall's busted knuckles.

I can feel his eyes on me while I do his hand. I really have no plans in talking to him right now, I just want to treat his wounds in return of what he did to me. It is also a way of saying thank you to him. After applying the medicine on his knuckles, I got a few inches of bandage and wrap his knuckles with it, so that it won't get exposed with viruses that can cause his hand an infection.

I got another cotton ball and poured it with the medicine, and started smudging, the cotton ball with medicine, on the cut on his face. At first he flinch but I decided to carefully treat his face so that he will feel less pain. As I treat the cut on his face, my eyes and his eyes met accidentally but I immediately look back at his wound.

"You're all done now" I finally spoke. "By the way, I'm sorry for not making you feel comfortable" I ended.

He did not give me any reply so I got up from the couch, got the kit, and when I was about to walk away, I felt a hand holding my hand. I turn around and Niall said.

"Thank you!"

I gave him a real smile and left.

The time flies so fast that it's already time for me to go home. After the event that happened a while ago, I did not see Austin's face in the company. I just hope I won't see him until the day I will leave this job. Like I said before, when Tara gives birth to her baby, I will go back to fashion industry and look for a job that suits my passion.

I put on my coat, got my bag, and left the building. I went over to the parking lot and open my car. I didn't realize that it already started snowing so my car is actually coverd with snow. I brush the snow that is covering my windshield using my hands and open my car. I tried turning the engine on but it wouldn't start. I don't really know how to find where is the problem with my car, so I decided to just take a cab.

So, I went out of my car, securely locking it, and waited outside the building. As the time passes by, there isn't a single taxi that passed by and it's getting colder and colder. The sky is really dark and my coat is almost filled with snow, and there is no taxi. The company has closed already and I don't know where I could wait for a taxi to arrive.

Suddenly, a warm, thick jacket is wrapped around me and I turn around. To my surprise, Niall stood there looking at me.

"Why are you still here?" I ask, a cold air escaping from my mouth.

"I went to a nearby shop to buy something and I saw you standing here. What are you doing out here when it's freezing cold?" He asks.

"My car wouldn't start and I am waiting for a taxi to get home" I answered.

He look at his watch and said, "It's already nine in the evening and there has no taxi that arrived yet?"

"Nah!" I laugh. "By the way, you don't have anything to heat you. Please just take this" I said removing the jacket from my body and putting it around him, but he immediately push my hand.

"No, I can handle the cold. You need it more than me" Niall answered.

"I have a coat" I insisted.

"Why don't I just drive you home?" He suggested.

"Oh! That will be a bad idea" I immediately refuse.

"Come on! It's really dark out here and cold. It's not like I am going to murder you" I can tell that he is being honest.

"I will agree if you'd take your jacket now" I said.

"Oh no!" He laugh.

"Why don't we just share it while we walk towards your car?" I don't know why but it feels okay to do that.

"That will be very awkward" woah! I guess this is the longest conversation we had since the day we broke up.

"Please" I look at him in the eyes.

"Fine" he finally gave up.

I placed the other half on Niall's shoulder and the other on mine. It was really awkward but for now both of us needed to be heated.

We went in his car and I told him my address and we drove off.

(OMG!!!! Aaaaah!!!!!! Seriously, I felt fireworks inside me when I was writing this part because it's one of the best parts that I've wrote. By the way, what do you think of this chapter?
