I'm waiting for Selena and my sister in front of the girls' dormitory. Why do girls always take so long to get ready? There were a few of the girls who came out and gave me weird looks; the others just giggled.

Finally, the main characters come out. "Took you guys long enough," I say.

"Sorry, couldn't find my bag," Selena says apologetically.

"It's okay," I say. "So where are we going?"

Emma replies. "We should go get drinks first and then tour the mall!"

The three of us end up going to Dawnbucks. I get an iced mocha latte. Not bad, I can get used to it. My thoughts are filled with Roy and George. They don't seem like the type to go around and pick fights for no reason.

I was surprised when I first saw George as he towers over me. You can say I do not like feeling small. George has brown hair and light brown eyes. Roy has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. They both look sturdy so I'm guessing they work out a lot. George is strong so it's pretty understandable.

Anyway, why does Roy want to hide his level? That's odd. People like to show off and boast about their level and power, that is, if they are as strong as they think. Roy is probably dangerous, he seems powerful. I guess it makes sense because George is an 8. We were talking about the amount of Highs, Dawns would have, when George accidentally blurted out his level. With this information, I believe Roy is pretty strong since he is able to boss George around so easily.

People have different rankings based on their level. If their level is 0, they are basically done with their life as soon as they are born. People will criticize them, and I do not know how these people manage to survive.

Levels between 0 and 1 are considered Low Rankers. Levels 2 to 3 are Middle Rankers, or Mid Rankers, which is where most of the population resides. People who are level 4 to 5 count as Elite Rankers. People level 6 and above are considered High Rankers and lastly, there are people whose levels are above 8. They are called Godly Rankers, which is a category within the Highs.

My ability allows me to control fire. Abilities typically run in the family. Children can have the same ability as their family members or they might not, which is less common. People who come from one of the 4 families—Morso, Agenos, Kane, and Lensin—have two abilities. There's also a Family Leader for each Family. Each one of them, once elected, can serve however long they want. People who come from these families are feared by others because they are usually very strong and cause destruction. Not sure how truthful the latter portion is, but there are tons of stories about the Four Families abusing regular civilians.

The Morso Family controls time, the Agenos Family controls the mind, the Kanes are able to shapeshift, and the Lensins control blood. These innate abilities are born with each of the members of their family with the person's own separate ability. I suppose part of the reason why these people are feared is because of the unusual abilities they have. Anyway, the Four Families are not that big clans, a decent size actually, just like any other family tree.

(In addition, most people don't know about my sister and my ability because we use our dad's surname, Chen, instead of our mom's, Morso. Also, our hair is not platinum white like the members of the Morso Family because we started dying it last year. Right now, me and Emma's hair color is light brown and we plan to keep it that way for some time. Each of the Four Families have their own physical traits. For example, every member of Morso has platinum white hair. The Kane Family has large green eyes and they don't ever have to wear glasses or contacts because their vision will never go bad. The Agenos Family has two color eyes, one of which has to be blue. The Lensin Family has black hair and golden eyes and their pupils are that of a leopard.) **should I delete?**
