Emma Chen:
Wednesday, February 17th—
Selena's still fussing about that Brandon said to her the other day. She's been looking very pale and dreading the weekend. I suppose I know how she feels? Although I don't understand why she didn't just slap his face and ran. My friend is indeed too nice.
"What am I supposed to do?" Selena keeps on repeating over and over again. Matthew thought she was sick and George thought she lost her mind, which might be true.
I told her that she doesn't need to go, but she is scared not to. She just can't reject people. In addition, Selena's afraid Dr. Rams will hate her if she rejects his nephew. I'm going to have a talk with Rams one day. How could he be the uncle of someone like that? I already didn't like Brandon when he pulled me aside last time, such a weird thing to do. He's way too touchy is my opinion.
In the end, Selena decided she'll go, but to tell him she doesn't like him and I think it's a pretty good idea. But how does he not know Selena's uncomfortable? I bet he's just pretending and I will break that jaw of his if he dares do anything to Selena. How will I know? Well, I'll be coming too.
I've decided that I'll be borrowing some of Matthew's clothes and dress up as a boy. Or I can wash my hair dye off so no one will recognize me. I mean, either way works, but I think dressing up as a boy will be fun. I get to experience the world in their eyes. Okay, to be honest, I just really want to make Matthew mad by flipping through his whole closet and making a mess.
I've actually prepared the clothes already. Yesterday, I snuck into their dorm while they were heading in and followed Matthew to his bedroom. I then surprised him from behind and he almost hit his head. Oops! Anyway, I now have a pair of high top sneakers, a pair of joggers, a hoodie, and a cap. I also took a jacket because I don't have a boys coat or anything of the sort. I can make one, but that'll be too much work. In addition, I'm already drawing up designs for the Summer collection. Not sure if we'll have a shoot, but last time went well so we might have one. I just hate the crowdedness though.
I tried the clothes on in my room and I look like Matthew, when my hair is blocked out of sight and put on sunglasses. Well, we are siblings. I'm kind of looking forward to Selena's date. I want to see if she's improved at speaking even a little. Of course, she doesn't know I'm coming. At first, she wouldn't tell me the location and time, but I can just travel back in time and hear everything so she told me. This is going to be a fun Sunday.
It's Thursday now and for training, Ben decides to take us out to the field, directly facing the forest. He says we'll be cultivating, but I have a bad feeling about this. Two classes cultivating at once will mean a lot of power used and I'm not exactly sure how far the bees can sense.
"Emma and Matthew Lin!" Ben calls. He points to the spot where we'll be sitting and it's obviously right next to each other. What a sad experience. Everybody is sitting a few feet apart so we won't get distracted while cultivating and it's probably why we're out in the field. The gym is not big enough and even if it is, all the aura is going to be stored in one room which is not good.
I lay down on the floor lazily, with my legs spread apart wide. Not the most appropriate posture, but like I care.
George, Selena, and Roy are in the same row, but all separated by a few people in between.
"Are you sure you want to follow Selena on Sunday?" Matthew asks me.
"Of course!" I say. Matthew already knows what's going on because Selena's behavior has been way out of hand anyone can tell she's going nuts.
"What if he guys do something while Selena isn't aware?" I ask. "We don't even know his ability yet."
"I just have a feeling you'll be eating the whole time and not actually paying attention," Matthew says. Hey! Even though he might be right, he didn't have to word it this way.
