Matthew Lin:

Sunday, April 18th—

The carnival is tomorrow, and we have no potions in stock. Well, we did, but Selena's wonderful boyfriend mistakes them for a shipping order and put the five cartons of potion and spray into a delivery truck with no address. how can there be anyone so stupid? if there's no shipping address, why the hell do you put something in the delivery truck? I couldn't even believe it when I first heard about the situation because I did not expect anyone to be so dumb.

Anyway, Selena and George are back in the hospital creating new bottles, while me, Emma, and Roy are setting up our booth for the carnival. Aaron decided that since our products are so important, that we should have the largest area in the most visible part of the school.

The booths are set up in the field of the school. Mr. A decided to put up an invisible shield that covers the whole school and so the bees will not be attracted if someone uses their ability, which is a must because of all the work that's involved in the carnival.

My booth, or our booth, is located right next to the stage that the drama kids will use for their play, thus, placing our booth in a pretty visible place. Roy is officially not a part of the play because he convinced his teacher that a tree will not really have a significant part in the play, which took a few days because his teacher deems every role important. I suppose Roy just didn't want to be a tree. I mean, I wouldn't want to either.

"Matthew," Emma shouts. "Come help me." she's setting up the tent and I believe she put the wrong leg of the tent in because of the weird shape of our booth.

After I help my sister out, I go back to setting up the table and everything else that will be needed tomorrow. Roy is in charge of delivering the potions from the hospital over here. He didn't want to work on the tent so that's his job. everything is going pretty well, and it would've been a lot nicer if Brandon didn't ship the potions off to some random place, but we just gotta make do with what we've got.

I have a clipboard for everything that is needed for tomorrow because I'm a highly organized person and like to do things in order, most of the time.

Every box is checked except for the delivery of the products and the sales, which I obviously won't know until tomorrow.

"Hey, do you think Lensin will recognize us tomorrow?" Emma says, after we've set up everything and just chilling.

Everybody else is still setting their booths up and chattering about tomorrow. The actors and actresses are rehearsing inside the auditorium and I can see the bright lights in there.

"I doubt it," I say. "We've only seen him once and that was years ago." The newest Family Leaders are the Family Leaders for the Agenos and Morso Family. For the rest of the families, the Family Leader is still the same as decades ago. After hearing the story about 25 years ago, it's pretty clear why the Kane Family Leader didn't change. They practically dug a hole for themselves when they slit up my aunt and Haydn Kane. Now, the person they've all been raising as the Family Leader is gone. What a shame.

"He could have visited the Morsos recently," Emma says. "Then he'll know for sure."

"I don't think he did," I say. In the Morso Headquarters, a portrait of every Member is hung on the walls of the vast hall. The portraits are big too, like massive. Me and Emma have only one portrait of both of us because we're twins, which is kind of weird. twins are literally worshipped so much in this word, it's crazy. Anyway, that's that, and we've tended to hide our portrait with a heavy curtain, but it's usually up for everyone to see, whoever is in the headquarters at least.

"But Lensin always visits us," Emma says. "Isn't' it a ritual or something?" The Morsos have always been closer to the Lensins than any other family. We treat them like a little sibling because of how similar we are. I mean, we can both teleport with our abilities. Some legends even say the Lensins are a branch of the Morsos.
