Dawns High and the Destruction of the Bees

Chapter 2

Saturday, August 29th—

Today is the orientation for Dawns High, looks like school is getting closer. Yesterday, I met a girl named Emma. and another named Selena. Emma is Matthew's sister and Selena is their bestfriend, so I guess we'll be bumping into them pretty often. Anyways, the orientation is at noon, so I decide to work out before then. I work out like 5 times a week because you need a strong body for training. I go to the living room to find Matthew and George already exercising so I just join in next to them.

George, Matthew, and I are waiting for Matthew's sister and Selena outside the girls dormitory. I wonder if their dormitory is as big as ours. I see a lot of students heading towards the entrance of Dawns and in the crowd, I spot Emma. Matthew spots them too and waves to get their attention. After we all meet up, we set off towards Dawns.

Dawns is a large building. Its bricks are covered in yellow paint and its doors are blue. As I head inside, I see dozens of lockers on either side of the vast hallway. Dawns has 5 floors and apparently some underground floors used for training. There are also two swimming pools here. The classrooms in Dawns are supposed to be big and the walls of Dawns are very sturdy because many students here fight each other and the principal doesn't want to repair walls everyday. Fair enough.

A lady stands in the middle of the hall shouting, "Attention all freshmen! You are all to make your way to the auditorium, so move this way!" She's pointing to the left so we all head that way. When we are in the auditorium, I can't believe my eyes. The auditorium is huge! It's like 20 times the size of an average classroom. The five of us sit in the second row of the auditorium and watch as Mr. A goes on stage.

"Welcome, everyone to the class of 20xx orientation! I hope that you guys will spend an amazing 4 years here at Dawns High. My name is Mr. A. and I'm your principal. During the school year, you can find me in room 205 if you are having any issues. So let's talk about what you'll need for this year. You'll only be needing 4 notebooks, an ipad, one binder, binder dividers, some pens and pencils. You will only be having academic classes 3 days a week for half the school year. Then, you'll spend the rest of the year training. Thus, if you want to get some bandages and training supplies, you're welcome to do so, but the school does provide those. The academic subjects that you'll be taking here are English, math, social studies, science, coding and one elective of your choice. Dawns High is not a school where students joke around. Please take your classes very seriously since you will only be having academic lessons for half the year and only four days of the week. School hours are from 7:55 am to 2:05 pm and from Monday to Saturday. As for the other 3 days of the week, you'll be training. You'll learn what a detective needs to learn and what spies need to know. You'll learn how to code the hardest puzzles and be physically fit to fight anything that comes in your way. Students are welcomed to demonstrate their powers in the halls, but just make sure you don't disturb teaching and don't cause that big of an issue. I know that this year is going to be an interesting year. If you look underneath your chairs, you find that there is a bag containing an ipad, a sweater, a hoodie, and a sweatpant that has the Dawns' logo on it. There is also a coupon for school supplies and I'm pretty sure that'll come in handy...alright. I'm done speaking here." Mr. A says and walks off stage. That was a...nice ending?

For a few minutes no one comes on stage. That's it? This sure is a short orientation. However, someone does walk on stage. It is the lady in the hallway a few minutes ago. She says, "Hi students! My name is Lily and I'll be your training instructor along with Ben," she points across the auditorium. We turn and find a tall muscular man standing by the exit/entrance. He looks strong. He and Lily are at least a level 8.

Lily continues, "Training with us will be very difficult. In your first year, you'll learn the basics of spying and other skills. You will learn defense and how to attack your opponent. Also, there will be mini missions for you throughout the year and a real quest at the end of the school year for the Mission Control Center or MCC. That quest will affect your classes for next year. That being said, this year, we have randomly assigned you your classes. However, we try to put students who came from the same city in the same classes. The day school starts, you'll all receive emails on what your class is. You'll also be assigned a locker and the instructions for the first day of school will be enclosed there too. Now, I won't keep you guys any longer. Have a wonderful rest of the day students! Oh, and if you guys want a quick snack, there is plenty right outside the auditorium, help yourselves."
