Selena Jal:

Monday, February 15th—

I'm back in school today! Yay! I'm so happy! I spent my time studying while I was in the MCC so I can pretty much catch up with all my lessons. Phew! I thought I was going to be so behind. Looks like I worried for nothing.

There are a lot of people asking me and my friends about what living in the MCC is like and it's so uncomfortable. At least for me. I'm super nervous whenever someone comes up to me and Emma or Matthew ends up chasing them away. They're annoyed too. Emma doesn't like people who approach her and wants to talk to her just because she' special in their eyes and Matthew for the most part just think people are too naive or dumb. Roy will glare at anyone who dares come his way so most people naturally ask George instead.

George doesn't seem bothered at all. In fact, he's quite enjoying himself and he answers any question anybody asks him. He's a bit too nice, isn't he? But I think socializing is better than not socializing even though I'm exactly the opposite. I wonder if he can keep up with this because it doesn't seem like the topic is going to end anytime soon, probably within a week or two.

"I am amazing, I survived another class with all these annoying people!" Emma congratulates herself after our last class. Just as she says this, a guy approaches her, but he doesn't want to ask about the MCC. Instead, he pulls her away and Emma comes back a moment later with a look of disgust.

"Would you happen to be interested in tall boys?" Emma asks me with great difficulty.

"Um," I start to blush. "Why're you asking this?"

"That guy over there," Emma points to a head about ten lockers away, "Wanted to know if you're dating someone. I said no and he told me to ask you this."

"Can't you just say I'm dating someone?" I ask.

"I didn't know if you would like that," Emma teases. "And what if you actually like him?" I nudge Emma a little and tell her to stop joking.

"Alright," she says. "I'll just tell him you're dating someone and it was recent so I didn't know about it." Gosh. People actually like me? That has never happened before. It's usually people who approach me for Emma. I don't know how to react to this.

"Says his name is Brandon and he wouldn't mind making friends," Emma says. "Let's go then, don't mind them. They're all just playing with you." I suppose so. I mean, I don't want to date anyone yet, especially not when the bee crisis is spreading to Dawns.

As far as I know, the students aren't allowed into the forest anymore and if they need to, they can't go near the area where the bees are staying. The teachers don't know what to do with the bees yet and how to stop them from attacking so I suppose Aaron hasn't told them. I have a feeling that he wants to see trouble, but since Mr. A is back now, hopefully, he can help the teachers.

All the forests in Dawns have been sealed for examination. It was posted on the news this morning, but I wonder if they know enough about the bees to research them. What if they suddenly use their ability and gets attacked in the middle of the forest? Poor things.

"Should we start?" Emma asks, raising her eyebrows up and down.

"Start what?" I ask.

"Sneaking into the forest to see the bees?" Emma says like it's obvious. My eyes and mouth open wide. What? We're going now?

"Um, I thought I was just helping out at the hospital and giving you guys some heads up," I say. "I'm weak you know? Compared to all of you guys so I don't think it's that good of an idea."

Emma looks disappointed and says, "But you're the most sensible one! Plus, you wouldn't do all the exercises I listed out for you. We should go do them now if you're worried about your level." Oh dear, I shouldn't have said that. Emma's going to drag me to exercise again. It's not my favorite thing in the world of course.
