I grin at Rose, embracing her in my arms. It feels good to know that Rose is slowly gaining back her memory. For the first few nights we were here, she would start accusing me of horrible things. I told her it was the final drops of serum playing tricks on her. Still, it truly hurt me to see Rose in so much pain and anguish. Although I don't show it, the mere mention of chocolate fountains from Rose brings me to joy.

Evan eyes Rose and I rather awkwardly, then shrugs and pops salt water taffy into his mouth, his teeth sinking into it greedily.

I hand Rose a small chocolate tucked elegantly in pastel wrapping.

She accepts it, and opens it daintily, as if she's afraid to rip the wrapping. The chocolate however, she gobbles up without a second glance. Her eyes widen slightly, and the corners of her mouth turn up in a little grin. "Oh, I love this stuff," she sighs, leaning back and tucking her normal leg under her torso.

Wendy smiles. "I'll pack you some to take home," she tells Rose hesitantly.

A shadow passes through Rose's eyes. "Thanks," she says rather dully.

After half an hour or so, Rose gets another headache, so we jump on Luna, care package in tow and head home. Luna seems to smile, and leaps through the town with more energy than I've ever seen her with, while Rose yawns rippling the black wrinkles under her eyes.

We enter the house, and even my eyes flicker. Yawning, I collapse on the sofa and fall into a deep sleep.
