Scene inspired by the amazing Michonne. You know, because everyone frickin loves her.

The next morning, Nathan gets us up extra early. I find that someone has already taken care of Cho's body. Liesel, Rowan, and Xander look disturbed and somewhat shocked.

"We're out of food. And I don't think going into town and buying some will be a good idea," Gwen says. Nathan nods to her. I- is he smiling? At her?

Bullshit...

"Ganshan is only a few miles from here. All houses are evacuated. We can find supplies there," I offer.

Gwen nods. "Good idea. We'll split into pairs."

I end up with Nathan. You know, my boyfriend who seems to have forgotten my existence. But whatever. It's not like in the avatar or anything.

We walk into the abandoned town. Everything is scorched, not even a tweet of a bird is heard.

I did this...

"Let's check out this one," Nathan says, pointing to a large white one. The windows are broken it's slightly scorched. I have to open the door with bending since it seems to be clamped shut.

I scout the kitchen, bagging things such as canned tuna and beans. I even find a bag of peppermints. I smile a little. Rowan and I used to suck on these until we got sick. I stuff them into my bag and move on.

"Kitchen is cleared. Find anything?" I ask, peeking through the door to the room he went in. He's standing there, staring at two corpses in their beds. They look like an old couple, burned to crisps in their beds.

I pop a peppermint in my mouth. "Did you?"

"Sorry, the rotting corpses were a bit distracting," he snaps, walking out of the house. Sure, Nathan is used to death by now. But I guess there's something disturbing by seeing bloody and burned corpses lying in their beds. I wouldn't know that feeling.

He walks stiffly and quickly up the trail. I have to jog briefly to catch up to him.

He's mad... I rummage through my bag and grin as a can of spray cheese finds itself in my hand.

"Guess what I found?" I say.

"What?" He mumbles.

I shake the can. "Something called Crazy Cheese. I'll be nice and let you have it first."

He glances at me with a dull and cold expression. "No thanks."

I shrug, spraying some into my mouth with a goofy expression, pretending the disgusting stuff was delicious. Something that'd normally make him laugh. He stops in front of me and I nearly crash into him.

"Can you actually be serious for once? It's annoying," he growls.

"You're such a dick, you know that?" I snap angrily.
