"Wow," I murmur, staring at the stunning oasis in front of us. A waterfall cascades into a shimmering pond filled with lily pads and croaking frogs.

"What are you guys waiting for? C'mon!" Gwen shouts, snapping us back into our senses.

"Just a sec!" I say, metal bending the gaping hole in my leg shut. Wouldn't want to get electrocuted. I'd usually worry about rusting, but I'm getting them fixed tomorrow anyway.

Nathan sends a geyser of water towards me, leaving me spluttering on the fresh grass. He offers a playful smirk.

"Challenge accepted," I sneer, hopping up. I airbend myself dry before pulling water all around me. Nathan waits for my attack, probably seeing he should go easy on me.

"What the heck, Rose!?" He laughs as the water turns into an octopus, waving it's arms as I imitate it inside. Then I shoot all the water at him, making him fall on his butt.

"Conquered!" I declare as I pin him down and lay on top of him.

Nathan rolls over, sending me under him this time. I offer a mischievous smile until he breaks it with a kiss.

"Hey, love birds, you done yet?" Gwen says sarcastically, rolling her eyes. I smile a little as I notice the hint of annoyance in her voice.

I swiftly slip away under Nathan and hop up to my feet. This is going to be a fun evening.

Everyone is laughing and having a great time, something that rarely happens to all of us at once. Even Evan has an ear to ear grin spread across his face.

"Rose, I want to teach you how to take water out of plants," Nathan offers.

"But that kills them!" I protest.

He pokes at my side teasingly. "Look who's a little environmentalist."

I earthbend mud into his face and smirk. "Oops."

After spending hours at the oasis until it begins to get dark, we decide to head back. I end up showering and heading to bed, exhausted.

The next morning, Teacher wakes me up early saying it's time for a mechanic. I don't know why, but he likes to start his days off early. Which sucks for me, since I'm a night owl (not exactly by choice) and like to get up late.

Teacher makes me wear short sleeves and shorts so it'll be easier for the mechanic. I don't bother complaining. I just tuck my white blouse into green, high waisted shorts, which still fit me, sadly.

It's only been like two and a half years. Of course they still fit me, I try to reassure myself.

Then, of course, I instinctively braid my hair to the side. I'd look like a normal teenager if it weren't for my metal limbs and blonde hair. It's hard not to attract attention, especially when I'm trying to avoid as much as possible.

Teacher shows me the way to the mechanic shop in town. He pats my shoulder. "Here's some money, I'll see you in a few hours."

"Thanks, Teacher," I reply with a smile before walking into the door.

And then I see him. Not some usual hermit of an old man mechanic, which has been always the case in my experience. But this guy, this guy was the opposite.

My face immediately turns a bright shade of red. I spin on my heels and try to walk out, making Teacher shove me back in.

The boy stares at me curiously. His shirt is off, showing lean and hard muscle. His chest is also smeared with machine grease. He also has blonde hair, something very exotic that you don't find often at all. The only blonde I've met besides myself was my mother.

He stands up, towering above me and making my face deepen even more in color.

"You need me to fix those bionic limbs, right?" He asks eagerly, his blue eyes shimmering with confidence and hopefulness. I just nod, unable to make my tongue or mouth work.

His fingers trace over the metal of my right arm in awe. "This is amazing. I've never seen a design like it!"

His face is inches from mine. Everything was so hot. My face is hot, the room is hot.

He is so hot.
