I turn on her. "Do you even get the situation?"
"What is there to get?" She speaks defensively.
"We're probably gonna emerge from that earth kingdom base with at least one member less!"
"Guaranteed we will if you keep treating our group like we're kids!"
"Expand, Rosemonde."
"Like we have to get stupid fire nation maps! Like we have to attack the country that has provided me with sanctuary!"
"THEY KICKED YOU OUT OF EARTH A YEAR AGO!"
"It was better than being in the Fire Nation!"
"Seriously, Rose? Seriously? You were royalty!"
"Royalty?!? Ha!! My butt!"
"I had to freakin pledge me loyalty to the Royal Family, aka YOU when I entered Fire!"
"Haven't been upholding your pledges recently, have you?" she retorted.
"You're trying to kill your own dad as well!"
"I'm talking about me, you bastard!"
"Huh?!"
"You-"
Evan's suddenly there. "Ladies, Ladies! Settle down."
"Evan?"
"What? Evan?"
"You're causing a ruckus, you two. Gwendolyn was gonna come to separate you guys but me, being a considerate person stepped in for her."
"Evan, you're not considerate at all."
He flashes a smirk towards me. "You lot got food?"
I nod.
"Good, then let's get out of this stink hole. It smells like rotting bodies."
"Says you," Rose says begrudgingly.
Evan bloodbends our lips shut. I don't feel like slipping out of the grip. The more excuses to NOT talk to little miss Avatar the better.
Liesel's waiting for us. "I found a spare glider in one of the houses. Looked like it had been stolen so I took it back. You want it, Rose?"
"Sure. Thanks."
"No problem, no problem."
"Where's Xander and Rowan?" Gwen's here too.
"I'll find 'em," Evan replies, stretching his arms out.
A few moments later.
"Got 'em. I'll lead the way."
A couple more minutes later.
"Here you guys are!"
"Yeah, sorry about that."
"We got food. Let's get out of here."
"Yeah. This place is depressing."
