She batted them all away and they were left with three. Another one had wrapped around Steve's neck while another two were biting her stomach. No matter how much she hit them, none of them moved. She had beaten them with both sticks but they shredded them, she was left without a weapon. She was sitting on the floor, sobbing, helpless. She didn't know what to do but she was waiting for a plan to spawn in her mind so she didn't have to watch the love of her life die in-front of her.

That was until one of the bats was sent flying across the floor. She looked up to see Eddie, Robin and Nancy standing there. Nancy had an oar and walked over to the other bats. "Hey there" she said annoyed before hitting another one. The three newcomers got to work hitting the already existing bats as she sat there in awe. More bats came flying towards them as they all fought them off. The one around Steve's neck escaped so he grabbed it and hit it against the floor. All four of them were attacking the bats as she sat there with her jaw wide open. Steve had bitten a chunk out of one, she could see it from the blood pouring down his lip. They'd fought them all off, they were alright.

"Steve" Nancy said while running to him. "Delilah" Robin shouted while running to her, pulling her off the floor and wrapping her in a hug. "It would've been my fault" she cried into Robin's shoulder as the girl shook her head and cupped the girls face. "Are you kidding ? You fought some off, you helped save him" she said softly while wiping the girls tears. "Jesus H Christ" Eddie shouted while throwing down his weapon as Delilah ran to Steve. "Are you okay ? I'm so sorry" she wailed as he shook his head. "Sorry ? Why are you sorry ? You fought off so many of those little bastards. They took about a pound of flesh but other than that never been better" he said as the pair began inspecting his wounds.

"Do you guys think these bats have like rabies ?"Robin asked panicked as Steve and Delilah took a step closer to each-other. "What ?" they asked in sync, it seemed so random. "It's just that rabies are like my number one greatest fear and I think we should probably get you to a doctor like really soon because once the symptoms set in, it's too late. You're already dead" Robin rambled on as they all looked at her, dumbfounded, they had beau bigger things to worry about.

More bats came flying towards them so they all stood closer together. "Again ?" Delilah shouted, close to another set of tears as Steve took a breath. "All right, there's not that many. We can take them. Right ?" he whispered to them as the bats shrieked at them and more came to follow from all angles. "The woods, come on" Nancy shouted as they all ran towards the trees. "Great, more running" Robin complained as Delilah took her hand. "You get used to it" she shouted as they sprinted after their friends.

They were all hiding under the alternative Skull Rock from the bats. Eventually, they all disappeared. "Okay, that was close" Robin said while standing up. "Too close" Eddie remarked as the rest of them began standing up. Delilah was next to Steve and once he stood up, he fell onto her. "Jesus Christ" she whispered, it started her so she pushed him against the rock so he was using that and her as a balance. "I'm fine. I'm fine" he said since the rest of them were coming over to inspect him. "No, no, you're loosing blood" Nancy said while pointing at the stain forming on Delilah's white shirt. Nancy walked to the other side of him as the girls lowered him to the ground so he could sit down. "Can I ?" Nancy asked as Delilah nodded and stepped away. Steve needed help. The Wheeler girl ripped off fabric from her own shirt. "The good news here is I'm pretty sure wooziness is not a common symptom of rabies" Robin began as Delilah of walked over to Eddie, she couldn't watch it.

"How are you feeling ?" Eddie asked as she looked at him taken aback. "Everyone forgot you're still under Vecna's curse" he said honestly as she shook her head. "I'm fine" she said brashly, trying to brush it off. "Delilah" he said sternly as she shook her head. "The focus is on Steve" she began as they heard another round of thunder which made him turn around. "So uh, this place is like Hawkins but with monsters and nasty shit, right ?" he asked as the group as Delilah nodded. "As far as we know" she said with her arms folded. "Wait watch out for the vines, it's all a hive mind" Nancy warned since Delilah had walked back over to Steve and Eddie was walking along a log of vines.

"It's all a what ?" he asked, still balancing on it. "All the creepy crawlies around here dude, they're all one. You step on a vine, you're stepping on a bar, you're stepping on Vecna" Steve explained, using Delilah to balance again. "Shit" Eddie said, careful where he put his feet after that. "But everything from our world is still here, right ? Except people ? Obviously" Robin asked as Nancy nodded. "So theoretically, we could go to the police station and steal guns and grenades and whatever we need to blow up those bats things that are guarding the gate" Robin explained as Delilah titled her head. "They have grenades ?" she asked confused, she thought they were a concept in movies.

"I highly doubt that Hawkins PD have grandes Robin and Lilah but guns, yeah for sure" Steve said unamused since he was in extreme pain. "We don't have to go all the way downtown for guns. I have guns in my bedroom" Nancy revealed as they all looked confused, she didn't appear to be the typical gun owner. "You ? Nancy Wheeler have guns, plural, in your bedroom ?" Eddie asked while jumping off the log. "A Russian Makaroc and a revolver" she told them as Steve took a step closer to her. "You almost shot me with that one" he said, remembering it as she looked up at him. "You almost deserved it"

Eddie noticed something then, something Delilah either wasn't or just wasn't acknowledging so took a step closer to her. He didn't know why, maybe it was to make Steve jealous, maybe it was because he just wanted to be nearer to her but he did it. He could see her staring at them with no emotion and just knew he had to stop it. He flung his denim sleeveless jacket at him. "For some modesty dude" he spat as Steve just stared at him. The whole of the Upside Down began shaking then which sent them all flying back. She flew into Eddie and Robin flew into her so she was sandwiched between them. She didn't know where Steve and Nancy were and frankly, she didn't care. She figured, if she was going to die anyway, Steve might as-well be happy so she'd let them be. That was why she didn't react.

"Yeah so guns seem like a pretty good idea to me" Eddie eventually said as Robin nodded. "Yeah, me too" she said as Delilah shrugged. "Let's go" she said quietly as they all stood up. She saw them then, Steve and Nancy, in the corner, cling to each-other but again, refused to acknowledge it. "What are we waiting for ?" Steve asked, trying to find his way to Delilah who was looking into the distance then they all began the walk to the Wheeler house.
