Exactly twenty-four hours had passed and she hadn't been home. She'd been staying with Steve, who had a big house with no parents patrolling it until that morning. They were lying on the couch in the movie room, planning a date when his mother, Allegra Harrington walked in with her arms folded. "Who's the girl of the week ?" she asked bitterly, Steve rolled his eyes, he hated his parents. He couldn't hate his mother more than his father though, she was just a woman who fell in love and was terrified of being second best yet again. She'd asked that question because of her own internalised fear. Who was Leonard Harrington's woman of the week this week ? She'd never know.

"Delilah, you know her" he said unamused as the woman nodded. "Your father will be back from work any minute, family time" the woman said with wide eyes, she wasn't looking at Steve, she was looking at Delilah. "Oh right, sorry" she mumbled, she hugged Steve goodbye and left the house. She began the bike ride back to her house, terrified to see her mother.

She opened the door to her house, her mother was sitting on the couch with her head in her hands. She looked up once the door closed, Delilah was expecting her to be angry but the woman's face softened and was full of relief. "My baby, you're alright ?" she asked through tears as Delilah nodded. "I'm alright" she whispered back before running into her mothers arms. She never hugged somebody so tight and never experienced a hug so full of love. "I thought something terrible had happened to you. There was this town meeting about the HellFire club and I knew your brother wouldn't have done anything but I don't know these other kids and what if they killed you ? I didn't sleep, I didn't eat until-" the woman cried as Delilah hugged her tightly.

"I was just afraid of everything going on, I stayed with Steve" she lied as her mother pushed hair out of her face. "Your arm" the woman shrieked once noticing Delilah's arm in a cast. "Steve took care of me. I fell during the earthquake" she lied as the woman smiled. "You really love Steve, don't you ?" she asked as Delilah nodded. "I'm happy to see you happy. You deserve it so much after the shit your father put you through. As my mother always said, when you fall in love, you become more beautiful and your life truly begins, I didn't think you could be anymore beautiful but you are" the woman kept crying as her daughter tried to soothe her. "You need to sleep, get a meal into you. Why don't you go lie down, I'll make you something to eat" she said softly as her mother agreed and walked upstairs.

Delilah got to work in the kitchen, she made a pot of chicken noodle soup, cut into a loaf of fresh bread and brought it upstairs. Her mother was already asleep so she left it on her bedside table. She thought Dustin was out but she could hear music from his room so walked downstairs, got him a bowl and walked back up. She opened the door to see her little brother in floods of tears on his bed with a collection of Eddie's favourite bands playing.

"I brought you some- Dusty ?" she asked confused, he didn't looked at her. She walked in, closed the door, set down the bowl and took a seat on the edge of his bed. "Dustin ?" she asked while softly shaking him. He sat up with tear-stained cheeks and a red face. He didn't say anything, neither did she, she just outstretched her arms, he fell into them and sobbed even harder. She soothed him while he calmed down. When he was at a level that he could actually speak, she spoke. "Why are you crying ?" she asked softly as he looked up at her. "Eddie died" he wailed but her face didn't move.

"Good one, you shouldn't joke about things like that though" she began refusing to believe it as Dustin shook his head. "He wanted to be a hero, he wanted to stop running. He went back to Upside Down to fight off the bats, he got bitten and bled to death" Dustin kept wailing, now Delilah was crying.

"He told me 86 was still his year, he wants me to look after his lost sheep, look after you. He didn't believe he was actually dying for a while and then he did. He said he'd get his honorary game of D&D and rock concert in heaven with you. Then said he wished it was just an illusion because if he actually saw you there, it meant you died too. Then he laughed and said it would always be an illusion because realistically you were going to heaven and he was going to hell" Dustin continued, Delilah was wailing with him. "Eddie was never going to hell" she cried as Dustin nodded. "Tried to tell him"

She held him for another twenty minutes before composing herself and standing up. She dug through her brothers board game collection and pulled Dungeons and Dragons. She set up the boards the way Eddie them when she was used as a ploy for Erica to play. Dustin tossed her a dog-tag Eddie had left him, she draped it over the boards then grabbed a piece of paper and began writing.

"The Angel who died for a town who hated him. May heaven give you the rock concert to end all rock concerts" was positioned infront of it as the siblings cried even harder.
