"Oh man. Now. This. This is what I'm talking about" Steve said while trying to grab the keys to the bright yellow convertible out of Delilah's hands but she just kept tossing them around in her hands as they walked outside. "Todd-father ?" Robin said with her head tilted. "Oh screw Todd. Steve's her daddy now" the boy said excited to be driving it not realizing he didn't have the keys. "Did you just talk about yourself in the third person ?" Robin said while getting into the passenger seat. "Did you just call yourself daddy ?" Erica said disgusted before getting into the back with Dustin as Steve sat at the steering wheel. "Keys. Lilah, hurry" he said as she shook her head. "Oh you are not driving" she said as Steve raised his eyebrow. "You want to drive this ?" he said while tapping on the door as she nodded so he reluctantly went into the backseat. "A girl can dream about cars too" she mumbled before getting into the front seat
Delilah quickly put the key into the ignition and began backing out. "I don't feel safe. You don't even have a licence" Dustin said as they began backing out. "Now you tell me this Henderson" Steve said while clinging onto the seat for dear life. "Wait where are we going ?" Delilah eventually asked once they got out of the parking lot. "Weathertop" her brother said as she shrugged. "Where's that ?" she asked confused. "Just drive" he ordered as she nodded. "Okay, Jesus" she said as she just began driving. "I would've asked first. Point to me" Steve said as she sighed. "And do you, know where Weathertop is ? Mister Smart" she said sarcastically as he shook his head. "No" he said while looking down. "So please. Shut the fuck up" she said as he nodded before they both burst into laughter.
"Jesus. How far is this place man ?" Steve asked since Delilah had been driving recklessly for the last thirty minutes. She'd hit so many things that they lost count. "Relax. We're almost there. Delilah isn't complaining" he said as his sister just smiled. "Lilah's also hitting everything because you let someone who doesn't know how to drive, drive us here. Operation Child Endangerment 2.0" Erica said as Delilah laughed. "First times for everything right" the girl said while shrugging as she drove into another dustbin. "Susie must be pretty special, huh. If you built this thing if you built this thing and lugged it to the middle of nowhere just to talk to her" Robin said as Dustin shrugged. "I mean, nobody's scientifically perfect but Suzie's about as close to being perfect as any human could possibly be" the boy said as the girl smiled. "Our mother raised you right" she said as she kept driving since Dustin talked about this girl with so much pride and respect.
"She sounds made-up to me. She sound made-up to you ?" Erica asked as Delilah shook her head. "She's real. Trust me. I witnessed it" she said for what felt like the 40th time since her return. "Why are you hesitating Steve ? That's like me saying Delilah's made up when she's driving the car" he said as Steve instantly shook his head. "I'm—I'm not— I'm not. I think she sounds real. You know, totally, absolutely real" he said as Delilah just nodded. "I can smell the sarcasm" she said but was interrupted and ignored.
"Left. Turn left" Dustin shouted while tapping Delilah on the shoulder. "There's not a road here" Steve said but Delilah had already turned left and was driving up a field. "Woah. Henderson. Where are we going ?" Steve shouted since Delilah was just cruising up the grassy hill like she was supposed to be going up it like a rollercoaster. "Up" was all Dustin shouted as she kept going. "We're not going to make it" Robin shouted as Delilah shook her head. "Oh yes we are. Come on ToddFather. Come on" she shouted as she tried to make it go up faster. "I guess the ToddFather has its limitations" Robin said as Delilah nodded. "Sure does" she said while sitting back. They began walking up the hill where Dustin's Cerebro was set up. "Dustin you really shouldn't leave this out here" the girl began as they started walking up. "Yes Delilah. I'll just carry it from our house to here on my bike whenever I want to use it" he said sarcastically as they all kept walking.Eventually they all got there and Dustin's main priority was Murray getting to the Russians safely. "Bald Eagle. Bald Eagle, I repeat. This is Scoops Troop, do you copy ?" Dustin said as they all couldn't laugh that Murray had been nicknamed the Bald Eagle. Erica suggested to call him the Balding Eagle but they decided that was just too mean. "Yes I copy" Murray said as they all looked at eachother, relieved that it had worked. "Call sign" Delilah asked, since she just wanted to her him say it. "Bald Eagle" he mumbled. "Can you repeat that ? I didn't quite catch that" the girl said through a laugh. "Bald Eagle. This is Bald Eagle" the man shouted as the five started laughing. "Copy that, good to hear your voice, Bald Eagle, what's your 20" Dustin asked as the man sighed. "We've reached the vents. I will contact you when I need you. Until then. Silence" Murray ordered as Dustin nodded. "Roger That, Bald Eagle, this is Scoops Troop. Going silent. 10-10 over" Dustin said before signing off as they all smiled, knowing it was going to work and they'd save the town from monsters and evil Russians.
