Thomas- Hey there. What movie did you want to see?
Me- I was actually wondering if you wanted to come over tonight and hang out at the bonfire that my parents are having tonight?
Thomas- Sure. That's sound a lot better than a movie :) What time?
Me- Around 5 ish you can come over if ya wantta. :) See you then?
Thomas- See you then.
I put down my phone and didn't know what to do with myself. I didn't have kids, and I was home alone. I decided that I was going to go take a nap, since I didn't sleep much last night. I slept almost 5 hours until Lucas came in to wake me up. "Pip. Some guy named Thomas is here for you." He said. I shot up out of bed and saw that is was 5. "Tell him I'm sorry, I will be down in 25 minutes. Entertain him!" I said getting up and hopping into the shower. I quickly showered, and got dressed. I wore a a tank top with sequences in it and a pair of white-washed jean shorts. I grabbed my gladiator sandals and slipped them on, onto my way to the bathroom. I brushed my hair and decided to leave it down and natural. I slipped on light makeup enough to hide blemishes and loom presentable and I started to walk downstairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs Lucas was on the couch with Thomas shooting the breeze about the latest surfing magazine that Lucas loves. She. Thomas saw me, he got up and hugged me. "You look great." He smiled at me. That was one thing about Thomas that I really liked. His smile. If you need cheering up, just looking at him makes you feel better. "Thank you." I blushed. My came in, and I introduced him to Thomas, and heshook his hand firmly. "Pip. Could you and Thomas run to the store for me and grab 6 bags of ice?" He asked. I nodded and looked at Thomas for approval. "No problem sir." He said looking at my dad timid. I giggled. "Call me Mike. Sir is my father. A cold hearted man." He explained. He nodded and I pulled him away from this awkward situation. We got in my car, and I drive to the local corner store. We walked in and Steven was in there with Addison. Addison saw me and ran to me. Stevencame chasing afterher., not realizing I was there. "Oh. Hey." He said noticing me. I picked Addison up and kissed her cheek. "Hi guys. Are you having fun with daddy?" I asked her. She nodded. "We gonna have iceceam and watch a movie with untie P." She said smiling. I nodded "Have fun! And Steven, this is Thomas one if my friends." I said introducing the two. They shook hands and nodded. I gave Addison back to Steven and he smiled. "Bye Addie. I love you. Bye Steven see ya later." I said walking towards the cooler to get ice. "Bye mommy!" Addison said in smiles. I grabbed six bags of ice, and brought them to the counter. "Be right back." I said to the cashier named Kim. I went back and got a 6 pack of beer for Thomas and I and came back. On our way home, I noticed that the song "Play it Again" by Luke Bryan was in so I turned it up and sang along. Thomas laughed at me as I finished the song strong. "Sorry, Luke Bryan is my favorite." I explained. He chuckled. "I couldn't tell." He said with sarcasm. Wh we got back to m house Tristen was sitting with Olivia on the front porch swing talking. He saw us pull in and he came to help us. He introduced himself to Thomas, and we walked inside. "Come on Liv. Auntie wants you in the house." I said holding the door open for her. She waddled in. Lucas came to pick her up, and she threw her into the air. We brought the ice to my dad and me and my friends sat at the table on the back deck. After an hour of sitting around talking about old times, Tristen got up and excused himself. He looked angry. I got up and followed him into the house. "Hey, you alright?" I asked. He nodded. "I'm going get going. I'm not feeling well." He said coming over to hug me. I hugged him for a long minute. "Sweetpea, are you sure you are alright? Need a ride home? I haven't started drinking yet." I asked him. He smiled. "Em, I'm fine. I promise." He said. I walked him out. Before turning away to walk to his truck, he kissed my head. "I'll text you when I get home." He said letting go of my shoulders. I nodded. He got in his truck and drove off. I sat on the front porch swing and thought about him. I had a little love triangle going on, and I didn't mean for it to get this out of hand. No matter who I chose, someone was going to get hurt. I must've been out here a while, because Thomas came out to check on me. "You alright?" He asked. I got up and I looked at him. "I'm sorry, but I am going to have to cut this night short." I said putting my head down. "No problem. You okay?" He asked again. I nodded. "I have someone who I let walk away from me. And I need to go chase after him." I said ashamed. He sighed. "I see. So no chance of us working then? And that's alright. You need to do what's best for you. Good luck. And if all else fails, I'll be here." He explained. He walked away and I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. It wasn't that I didn't like Thomas, I was in love with someone else. I went into the house, and packed a bag. I texted lucas.
Me- going out for the night. Love ya Lou.
Lucas- where ya going?
Me- I've got something that I need to take care of.
Lucas- be careful. Call me if you need anything. Love ya pip.
Me- much love. Xo
I put on some warmer clothes and hopped in my car. I parked my car in the driveway and got out to knock on the door. When he opened the door, he looked at me. I didn't waste any time, I kissed Tristen with love and he kissed me back. He stopped kissing me, and put his forehead in mine. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked. I nodded out of breath. "Yes." I smiled. He picked me up and brought me up to his room not closing the front door.
