I picked up Addison and Grayson from Day care and I drove to Shorty's. Addison's eyes lit up, when I pulled in the parking lot. Just like me, it was her favorite restaurant. I got there, and my parents and Luther were already there. Luther got out to help me hold Addison's hand in the parking lot, and I carried Grayson. My parents were already out of their car and were waiting by the door for us. Today my parents were meeting Luther for the first time. I hadn't introduced them yet, because I didn't want to rush into things with him. It's been three weeks, and everything has been going extremely well. I really liked Luther. When we got to the door Addison jumped into my dad's arms. "Momma, Daddy, this is Luther. My boyfriend." I smiled. Dad stretched out his hand to shake his. Luther grabbed his hand firm and he smiled. "Nice to meet ya'll." He said shaking my mom's hand also. "You too Luther. I'm Abby, and this is my husband Mike. You can call us Mike and Abby." My mom introduced. He nodded. We opened the door and we got a table and a booster seat and high chair for the kids. Luther and I sat on each side of Addison, with me on the outside to feed Grayson. The waitress named Annie, brought Addison a coloring book. "Luther, want to color with me?" Addison asked giving him a blue crayon. "I'd love ta little lady. What picture ya want ta color?" He asked. I exchanged a glance with my dad and signed to him. 'He's really good with the kids.' He nodded in approval. I looked at my mom and she smiled. When we got our food I helped Grayson eat his French fries and I fed him some baby food while I picked at my meal. My parents were talking to Luther, about his life back in Georgia, and I listened carefully to what they were talking about, but never interrupted. "Do you work?" My dad asked. He nodded. "Yes Sir. I work at the family farm, and I'm in the process of learning all the ropes since my brother doesn't want to take over." He explained. I looked at him and I smiled. "Really? You are going to be running a farm?" my dad asked. I shot him a look to be nice. "Yes, I am sir. I'd like to keep it in the family rather than sell. And none of my sister's wanted to take over. Neither did my brother. So I am." He explained. They got talking into family and other small things. I checked my phone quickly to see if I had any messages.

Steven- Hey, could we talk later?

Me- Sure. Everything alright?

Steven- I think...

Me- Steven? You alright? Wat is wrong?

Steven- Nothing... I will be alright...

Me- I'm at dinner with my parents and Luther, I will have them take the kids home, and I will be over after.

Steven- Luther could come too. If ya want.

Me- Alright. I'll mention it too him.

I put down my phone to see that everyone was looking at me. "You have that look of worry on your face Amelia. What is going on?" My dad asked sternly, but concerened. I shook my head. "I don't really know. Steven texted me, I think he's having problems with his depression and anxiety again. He asked me to come over. Would you take the kids home for me? And Luther? Would you come with me?" I asked nervous. My parents nodded. "Sure thing sweetie. Tell Steven we send our love." My mom said. I nodded and then looked at Luther. I could tell he was uncomfortable with it, and I didn't want him to feel that way. "We are going to go with the kids. Take your time. See you later." My mom said nudging my dad's arm. Luther shook both of my parent's hands and said it was nice to meet them. Once they left I began to speak. "You don't have to go. I just don't want to blow you off, but he really needs me, and I promise it's strictly to get him some help nothing more." I explained. He nodded. "You go. I trust you. I don't have any reason not ta. I just don't feel all that comfy going to see ya ex. Tell him I hope he feels better." He explained. I nodded. "Alright." I aid leaning into him. I wanted him to hold me, and I just wanted to stay with him forever, right here in this booth. He hugged me tight and kissed my head. "Call me when you are done, and we will do something." He smiled. I nodded. I got up and I got in my car to run to the apartment. I unlocked the door, still having the key in case of emergency, and Steven was no where to be found. I ran up the stairs worried. I walked in our old bed room and there was no sign of him. I noticed that the light in the bathroom was on and the door was closed. I knocked on the door, and there was no asnwer. "Steven? It's Em. Let me in." I said knowing he was in there. He unlocked the door, and I opened it. He had hurt himself. I grabbed the first aid kit and I brought him into the bedroom and sat him down. "Steven. What is going on?" I asked pulling out my phone calling Lucas. He was on his way. "Talk to me!" I said. He had a blank stare and was looking into the distance. I called Pat and his mom. "No, don't call my mom." He said. I nodded. "Yes." I said wrapping his arm up. Once I was done, he laid on the bed facing the opposite of me. "Stevie..." I started putting my hand on his back. "What's going on?" I asked. He shrugged. "What isn't going on?" He said finally. When pat and Lucas showed up I needed a minute to breathe. Lucas and pat sat him up and brought him down stairs. His mom got here, and she looked at him with tears in his eyes. "Dodo. Do you want to go now?" She asked. I looked at her confused. He nodded. "Go where?" I asked as she pulled out her phone. "To inpatient pyschiatric therapy for 4 months." She explained answering her phone. I looked at him, and I cried. "Steven. Why didn't you tell me?" I asked. "I was afraid you'd never let me see the kids again if I told you I was a crazy person." He said crying. I looked at him and got on my knees in front of him. "I would NEVER keep you from seeing your kids just because you need some help. Never." I explained to him. He nodded. "I'm sorry Em. I'm going to be a better man." He said. I shook my head. "You don't need to be a better man, you need to be a better you, and you're not yourself and you need some help to find yourself again. I love you Steven, and the kids will be waiting for you when you get back." I explained. He nodded. His mom came back in the house, and told him everything was all set, and that they could leave immediately. He nodded. He got up blank expression and shook my brother's hand. "Take care man. Call if you need anything." Lucas stated. He hugged his brother and then he came over to me. I held out my arms, and I let him fall into me. I hurt for him, and I wanted him to be alright. "Call me if you need anything, or if you need to just talk. Love you." I said letting him go. "Love ya too Em. See ya. Give the kids some love for me." He said turning to go outside. I walked outside and got in my car. "I will call mom and tell her what's going on. You go clear your head and I will go home and watch the kids." Lucas said before I could even begin to speak. I nodded. "Love you Lou." I said. He nodded. "Love you too Pip." He said getting in his car. I drove to the beach where Luther and I danced on our first date. I walked all the way over to the corner where we were, and I sat in the sand. I texted Luther.
