Jimins POV
I arrived back at the prison around dinner time.
I sighed while walking silently through the prison towards the cafeteria.
A guard uncuffed me before letting me through into the dining area.
I saw Taehyung and his friend Jungkook talking at a table as I got food.
Once I got a piece of steak with sloppy vegetables, I headed over to Taehyung and Jungkook.
I made eye contact with Taehyung before sitting down.
"How's the outside world?" Jungkook asked in an oddly chirpy tone as he looked at Taehyung, then at me before burping loudly.
"You are so disgusting," I whined while scrunching up my nose.
Jungkook gave me a proud but guilty grin.
Then I continued, "I don't really know. I only see it through the window of the police car while being transported places." I muttered.
"What's the weather like then?" Jungkook asked while playing around with food while holding a spoon.
I presume spoons must be deemed as the safe utensil for prisoners to use.
"Cloudy." I responded simply.
I slowly started eating even though I felt Taehyung's golden brown eyes on me.
I felt butterflies in my stomach growing by the second.
"You look down aye, you alright?" Taehyung spoke up.
"I'm brilliant." I responded sarcastically.
"Found guilty?" Jungkook choked out with a weird smile on his face.
"No. But nothing is making me sound not guilty." I stated.
"Because you are guilty?" Jungkook questioned.
"I swear I'm not. I would never. Just there's mostly no DNA evidence that leads to someone fucking else committing the crime, making me seem so guilty and I think the jury are going to find me guilty." I stated.
"Well that sucks." Jungkook muttered.
"Jimin-ah, DNA evidence isn't everything to a jury." Taehyung calmly said.
I looked at him, "It's not, but there currently aren't any other suspects currently, so I'm the main view for this case. So I am slightly fucked. " I mumbled.
As much as Taehyung's calmness makes me feel better, it's also not helping because it doesn't prove that I'm not guilty.
"Just have faith in your lawyer." Taehyung said, his voice sounding soothing and low; extremely dreamy.
"Tae, you can't say that to keep him positive. We trusted our lawyers, and now look at what position we are in." Jungkook whined.
I sighed knowing the truth. I don't want to give up on my fight for justice but I don't want to presume I will be found innocent because it's likely I may not.
"Yeah but your guilty as fuck Jeon Jungkook." Taehyung growled.
"Oh and you know he isn't guilty do you? Did he tell you that? Have you seen the details of his case? Are you some fucking defense spy?" Jungkook snapped.
Taehyung rolled his eyes while getting up aggressively.
The bench I sat beside him on made a screech sound as it scraped along the ground, echoing throughout the cafeteria due to his quick movements.
