Once I arrived at the hotel, I changed into the swimsuit Usami provided, wrapped a towel around my chest, and began walking back to the beach. Because I stayed behind to talk with Usami, I was slightly behind everyone getting back. When I returned, I saw Hajime sitting by himself though he wasn't the only person deciding not to swim, which made me feel a little better.

"Hey," I greeted, taking a seat next to him. "How are you doing?"

"As well as I can be, I guess. . ." He sighed. I saw him looking at everyone else having fun in the shallow waters of the beach. "Are you not going to swim?"

"I will, I just wanted to make sure you were alright," I assured.

"Was I really wrong about all this?"

"I think you had a right to be concerned. . ." I stated. "We were all just kind of. . . thrown into this "school trip" without warning. I mean, you saw how I reacted when I woke up. . . I thought I'd been kidnapped!"

He laughed. "I guess you're right. But. . . I can't help but wish I was able to see the situation through their eyes. Be calm, rational. . . excited. . ."

"Alright, enough of this," I blurted out. I stood from my spot in the sand, startling Hajime.

"Huh!? W-What are you--"

"Come on!" I held out my hand. "You wanna have fun? Then let's go have some fun!"

He reluctantly took my hand and we went to Usami to get him a swimsuit. Once he was ready, I called for Nagito and he came over.

"What's going on? Did you decide to join us Hajime?" He questioned.

"Y-Yeah, Y/N convinced me. . ." I saw him blush a bit and look away.

"It's no problem, now let's go have some fun while the weather's nice!" I took off the towel around my chest and handed it to Usami, asking her to hold onto it until I came back. She agreed and we were off.

Nagito and I got a headstart on Hajime for some reason. I heard him call out after us "Hey hey! Wait for me! Let me join in the fun!"

We started splashing each other, laughing. . . having fun. We stopped for a moment and I took a moment to take in the energy of everyone. They were all so happy, so energetic. . . so carefree.

"The weather sure is great today, huh?" I commented, staring up at the clear blue sky.

"Yeah, you were really right about this, Y/N!" Hajime spoke with a joy-filled tone. ". . .Wait, huh?"

I turned to Hajime, confused by his expression. His face went shocked and contorted in confusion. I then turned to Nagito, who had his gaze fixed on the sky behind me. I felt the warmth of the sun suddenly dissipate, leaving me cold and sending goosebumps down my arms.

I turned and stared at the ominous dark clouds that had suddenly taken over the sky. They covered the sun and darkened the atmosphere. I could see that everyone else was getting the same chills I was as we all exited the quickly-freezing water.

When I got to the shore I went to Usami for my towel, immediately wrapping myself in it. Hajime went to her right after I did, panicked.

"What did you do!? This obviously not right! It was sunny just a few minutes ago!" He yelled.

"Wha. . .wha-wha-wha. . ." She stuttered. "Wh-What is this!?"

"Huh. . .?"

"I didn't do anything. . . What is all this. . .?" She seemed genuinely confused and worried. "There's no way! Something like this shouldn't be happening!"

Out of nowhere, a monitor attached to a palm tree turned on with static and a silhouette fading in and out. Once it solidified, it looked to be in the shape of. . . a bear? It looked like the same shape as Usami, but there were short stubby ears instead of ones belonging to a rabbit.

"Ahh, ahh. . .! Mike check! Mike check!" The monitor spoke. "Can you hear me, can you hear me?" The voice was somewhat similar to Usami's. . . though this one seemed more menacing. It spoke with more intent. Not the good kind either. "Puhuhu. . . Surprised? You were totally surprised! . . .Right?"

I looked back to Nagito and Hajime who were both watching the monitor intently. Neither of them looked away. Nobody did for that matter. I tried to listen more carefully to the voice coming from the monitor. It sounded. . . familiar.

"Now then, sorry to keep you all waiting for so long. Let's leave all this worthless entertainment behind," The voice continued. "It's time for the main attraction! You guys better huslte over to Jabberwock Park!"

I felt myself tense up at the request, "I have a bad feeling about this. . ." I mumbled, starting on my way to the hotel to change along with everyone else who went swimming.

"Hey, Y/N! Wait up!" I stopped and turned to see Nagito running over to me.

"Hey, Nagito, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing, just wanted to talk. What're thoughts on that weird voice?" He answered. We began walking to the hotel site while we talked.

"The change in weather was. . . beyond strange. I mean, that trick Usami did with chicken was one thing, but to change the weather from clear and sunny to practically storm clouds is a whole other level," I sighed. "And that voice on the monitor. . . I don't know why but it sounded familiar."

"I agree. There's just something off about this whole event. . ." He concluded. "One could say everything was perfect before those clouds rolled in. . ."

"Yeah. . ." I agreed quietly. We soon arrived at the hotel, splitting up to change and meeting again at the bridge to the Central Island.
