"Try it if you dare, bastard!" Fuyuhiko warned.
He'll be lucky if he can even get close. . .
"Y-You can threaten me, but I'm not scared!" He stood up and pointed at him angrily. "You. . . you're just a pipsqueak without the Kuzuryu Clan backing you up!"
"Wh-What did say. . .!?"
". . .Enough." Peko stood. "Knock it off, you two."
"Y-You bastards. . . I'll make sure you regret that later. . .!" Fuyuhiko stormed off.
"Wh-What the heck. . . He's just a whiny loser!" Kazuichi scoffed.
It's not like you helped by antagonizing him. . .
"Kazuichi. . . let us stop this already." Sonia pleaded.
"Jeez, all this fighting. . ." Mahiru sighed. "I can tell it's not going to be easy in the future. . ."
"The future. . . huh. . ." Mikan echoed. "I wonder if we even have a future. . ."
"Hey, don't start mumbling like that!" Mahiru scolded. "If you do, I'll get depressed too!"
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" The nurse stuttered an apology.
Soon enough, everyone finished their food and began returning to their respective cabins. I stayed behind and cleaned up the plates. As Hajime was about to leave, he stopped and looked at me. I could feel his eyes on me and stopped what I was doing.
"I'll be fine, Hajime. . ." I assured.
I heard him walk back over to me and lean on the counter.
"You're thinking about going to see him, aren't you?" He asked.
"N-No. . ." I tried.
"Y/N. . ." He sighed. "You know you shouldn't. . ."
"But--"
"No buts." He interrupted. "If you want, we can stay here and talk about what we found on the new island. Y'know, since we didn't get to meet at the bridge. . ."
I sighed and agreed. He took a seat at one of the tables as I finished the dishes. Once I did, I walked over to where he was sitting and joined him.
"So, what did you find at the library?" He started.
"Let's see. . ." I recalled the day. "I spoke with Sonia. She found a guidebook for the island and translated it."
"Really. . .!? What did it say?"
"Mainly just a repeat of what Byakuya had said, but there were some. . . contradictions." I trailed off. "For starters, one of the lines said that the central island housed an administrative building with a certain bronze statue in the lobby."
"You mean like the one in the park. . .?" He cocked his head.
"Mhm, that exact one. So the question is, how did an entire building suddenly disappear and get replaced by an empty park?" I proposed. "The second contradiction is the means by which we move between islands."
"Move between islands?" He repeated. "We use the bridges. . ."
"Exactly. The island's guidebook says that the only way to travel from one island to the other is via boat." I stated. His eyes widened. "Bridges were suggested but people were worried about the environmental impact. . ."
"So. . . what does that mean. . .?"
"Sonia suggested that we're on an artificial island. . ." I recounted. "We agreed that it was the only way the contradictions would be able to exist. . . Then Monokuma showed up and made his usual statements that made us doubt the suggestion."
