"From this point forward, I hope we get along so we can get to know each other better!"

Wait. . . what?

"Just. . . what the hell was that?" Gundham folded his arms.

"I-It's nothing, really. . ." The blonde tucked his hands in his pockets. "Just a greeting. . ."

That wasn't *just* a greeting. . . but it also feels like the first time Fuyuhiko's ever greeted us at all.

"Um. . . that eye patch of yours. . ." Kazuichi trailed off.

"Ah. . . it's nothing."

Mikan fidgeted with her hands. "There's no way that's nothing, since. . . that eye is no longer. . ."

"So you can't see out of it, huh. . ." Nekomaru sighed.

"Heh. . . it's only one eye," The yakuza shrugged. "Besides, don't I look like I've gained some prestige or somethin'?"

Sonia furrowed her brow in worry. "F-Fuyuhiko. . ."

"Why are you acting all cool and stuff!" Hiyoko glared. "Don't you understand the position you're in right now!? Do you really think we'll forgive you that easily for what you did!? Don't you get it? It's your fault Mahiru is dead."

She isn't wrong but. . .

". . . No, not just Mahiru," She continued. "Peko died because of you, too. It's all your fault!"

The room fell silent. Fuyuhiko just lowered his head and made no remark. It's not like she was wrong, but it wasn't the time to bring that up. When you think about it, Peko acted on her own volition when she struck Mahiru with that bat. . . Fuyuhiko never ordered her to do it. She just did what she thought was necessary to protect him. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm ready to forgive either of them, but in the end, the blame doesn't just fall on Fuyuhiko.

"U-Um. . . Hiyoko. . ." Mikan spoke up. "We've finally been able to get together with everyone. . ."

"Huh? So what if we're all here? You better not say we're 'friends' or something," She pointed angrily at Fuyuhiko. "There's no way a killer like him will ever be our friend!"

At least he's making an effort. . . Despite us knowing what he's done, he still came here intending to make things right. . .

"Yeah, you're right. . ." He sighed. "It's all my fault. . . I already know that. . . It's my fault. . . that those two are dead. . ."

"Are you. . . planning to just give us your 'so what?' attitude?" Hiyoko

"It's. . . not that. . ." He strained.

The moment he forced out those words, Fuyuhiko suddenly dropped to the ground, doubling over in pain.

". . .F-Fuyuhiko!?" Hajime took a step back.

Hiyoko did the same. "Huh. . .? What the heck? Hey, don't mess with me! Do you really think we're gonna forgive you if you just drop to your knees and cry!? Do you really think a half-assed apology will make us forget what you've done!?"

"Hiyoko. . ." I gently placed my hand on her shoulder. "He isn't crying. . ."

Something is wrong. . .

"No. . . I don't think that at all. . ." He muttered.

As if to confirm my fear, a pink liquid we all knew too well began to seep through Fuyuhiko's clothes and form a large puddle on the floor beneath him. Did he really. . .

"This is. . . AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Ibuki screamed. "It's blood! It's bloooooood!"

"Haaaaaaaaaaah! Fuyuhiko. . . has slit his own stomach!" Mikan cried.
