Unexpected Arrival

When Nagito and I showed up, everyone was gathered around the statue in the centre of the park. The statue was made of some kind of bronze metal shaped to look like five animals: A snake, tiger, horse, eagle, and what appeared to be a monkey or gorilla.

We arrived to find Usami in defence mode, looking around frantically and clenching her magic wand in her small stuffed paws.

"Hey-hey! Where are you? Show yourself!" She demanded.

"Ahhhh-hahahahahahaha!" A maniacal laugh boomed from the statue. We all looked toward the bronze figures in curiosity. Suddenly a stuffed bear popped out of the top and landed on the ledge in front of the animals. It was half white, half black with an oddly shaped red eye.

"Why, hello there! Thank you all for waiting! Long time, no see guys! I am Monokuma! The headmaster of this academy!" He announced. Academy? We're not exactly at Hope's Peak right now. . . "Ahem, now that I've made my dashing appearance, the first thing I need to say is. . . This is so friggin' lame! Lame, I say! Lamer than the lamest lamesauce!"

"Just as I thought. . . It was you!" Usami declared. "But. . . how. . .? Why is Monokuma here!?"

"Aw, shaaaaddup! I'm livid, you know. . . And I'm about ready to barf thanks to your lukewarm attitude!" Monokuma yelled angrily, his red eye giving off an intimidating glow. "Just what's with this "heart-throbbing school trip" crap anyway!? I'm bored! So hopelessly bored!

"This just ain't fun at all! You better knock off this farce right now! You've gotta make this, you know. . . meet the demands of the world. Nobody wants to see high school students living calm and peaceful lives. What everyone wants to see is. . . Other people's misery. . . and despair. . ."

Fuyuhiko clenched his fist, "Wh-What the hell is with this stuffed animal. . .!? Nothing he's saying makes any damn sense. . .!"

"What. . .what is going on? What is that thing?" Byakuya mumbled.

"Be careful, everyone!" Usami warned. "Stay back and leave this to me! I don't know why Monokuma is here, but as long as I have this Magic Stick. . ."

"Yah! Opening!" Monokuma yelled, jumping on Usami. The two began kicking up dust from fighting. When the smoke cleared, Monokuma stood tall with Usami's Magic Stick being crushed under his 'foot'. "Dun-dun-dah-dahhhhh! VICTORY!" He cheered.

"Noooooo! My Magic Stick!" Usami cried.

"Now then, what to do after my flawless victory. . ." He thought for a moment. "First of all, you're too plain. White rabbits are faaaar too plain. Soooo, I'm gonna make you in my image! Aaah-hahahaha!"

Once again, the two started kicking up dust as Usami struggled. During the struggle they bickered here and there, mostly insults and threats from Monokuma. When the smoke cleared this time, Usami was left standing in a new design: Half white, half pink, replacing her pink bow with a yellow one and her cute skirt being swapped out for a diaper.

"Wha-. . .! What is this!?" Usami cried. "I'm not supposed to look weird like this! Change me back to normal!"

"My, my. . . Defying your big brother's fashion sense. Is Monomi a little troublemaker?" He responded. "Big brother"? "Monomi"? This guy's worse than Usami. . .

". . . Big brother? Monomi?" Usami muttered, practically voicing my thoughts.

"Your current position is too wishy-washy, so I'm setting you to be my little sister, Monomi." Monokuma explained. ". . . Though it's only an external setting, after all."

"Wh-Why do I have to be your little sister!?" She objected.

". . . Big sister, then?" He suggested. "You wanna be the older sister that got separated at birth? Hmm, that doesn't really feel right. . . Yep, you're definitely more like a little sister, soooo, that's how it's gonna be. . . Monomi! From now on, if you ever disobey me, I will never forgive you!"

'You should never disobey *anyone*! They would never forgive you!' I heard that memory echo in my head as Monokuma ranted on more. 'Never disobey'. . . That was rule #1 of being the Ultimate Doll. . .

"Ugh. . . if only I still had the Magic Stick, I could have totally beaten that awful Monokuma. . ." Usami quietly cried.

"Puhu! It's your fault for leaving yourself open!" Monokuma blamed.

"Hey. . . what's with this stupid performance. . .?" Fuyuhiko spoke up, clearly getting annoying.

"Wh-Who friggin' knows. . .!" Akane stuttered.

"But. . . it's obvious something bad is happening." Chiaki noted.

Teruteru looked like he was on the verge of passing out. "Whaa-!? What is this!? What's going on!?"

"Ugh. . ." Usami slumped over and began sulking.

"Huh?" Mahiru commented. "Now she's all weird-looking!"

"Weird-looking. . .?" Monokuma looked offended as he stared at the ground. "She matches me now, you know! How insensitive. . ."

"There's more of 'em!?" Ibuki panicked.

"Wh-What does this mean?" Peko questioned. "What is that black and white tanuki. . .?"

"I'm not a tanuki, I'm a bear! I'm Monokuma!" He roared, paws above his head.

"I-I don't understand it myself, but. . . a new stuffed animal appeared?" Kazuichi mumbled. "I mean. . . why is that stuffed animal even talking. . .?"

"We've been talking with Usami this whole time and now you have an issue with talking stuffed animals?" I questioned.

Don't be so rude--Shut it.

"Seriously, I'm not a stuffed animal, I'm Monokuma! The headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy!" He was pissed now.

"Monokuma. . .?" Nagito repeated worriedly.

"Did you say. . . headmaster!?" Nekomaru asked.

"Regardless. . . it appears everyone has gathered." Monokuma noted. "Now then, as the headmaster, I shall make a formal declaration! From this point forward, the killing school trip will now commence!"

Killing school. . . what!?

"A school trip where everyone gets along has no stimulation at all! And it's so damn boring!" He continued. "Nobody wants to play a game like that! You guys agree with me, right!? Sooooo, let's begin our killing school trip! Naturally, you guys are the contestants!"

"K-Killing. . . contestants?" Teruteru repeated.

"Wh-What are you saying!?" Usami--er. . . I guess 'Monomi' intervened. "I will absolutely, positively not allow such bloody events!"

With 'Monomi's' objection, Monokuma kicked her in the face. I guess she can't object as a teacher anymore. . .

"Jeez. . . Your brain sure is tiny, Monomi. How many times do I have to tell you?" Monokuma warned. "Pay attention this time. Except in manga, a little sister is never smarter than her big brother."

Monomi proceeded to hold her head and sob in pain. She was. . . powerless now. She had no control over the situation, no power to protect us, nothing.

What can we do?
