Thrack takes a sip of his tea. "That, friend Squeaks, was my first step."

"Wow wow." Squeaks says with grief in his unique voice. "I I didn't know you had such a sad story story."

"The best sources of motivation are not often happy." Thrack says softly. There is a moment of quiet as Squeaks wishes he could help his friend.

From Alan erupts several sneezes, breaking the melancholy moment. "Sorry about that." Alan says with a chuckle.

Thrack smiles, actually happy for the break in the moment. "Salute good friend." His masses move around the table. "Food is consumed. What shall happen next?"

Alan glances at Squeaks who is still slurping on his cheesecake milkshake. "Well, I'm not sure about you guys, but I need to talk to a few people about Squeaks here."

Squeaks eyes get large, and he swallows some of his shake before he nervously states "Did did I do something bad bad?"

"Oh, not at all." Alan reassuringly says. "I'm not sure if you know this, but some entities spend decades, sometimes centuries, to learn what you self-taught yourself in six months. What you showed us is as impressive as almost everything I've ever done on this coil. Now I plan to speak to Amelia about getting you a few extra ranks. Then I might pop in on Pod 'Yilfnk if she's still at the same address. Rumor has it she still teaches."

Shocked by what he just heard; Squeaks ruby eyes grow to immense size. His joy is palpable as he says, "You you are going to help me go up in rank rank?"

Alan and Thrack simultaneously look at Squeaks. "We aid you not friend Squeaks." Thrack states with a great smile. "Your diligence, effort and skill got you here. You deserve this. You earned this. We are just making sure you get what you earned."

"You you guys always so nice to me me." High pitched squeaks fill the room as Squeaks starts to sob in joy. "I I am so lucky to have friends like you guys guys!"

Alan slowly stands as the noise coming off the wererat grates his ears. "And on that note, I shall be off. I should be back in an hour or two. Kinda depends on the mood of Pod 'Yilfnk. She still isn't the biggest fan of me."

As Thrack chuckles, Squeaks composes himself a bit and smiles big. With a grateful tone Squeaks exclaims "Thank thank you friend Alan Alan!"

Alan nods and departs the table. He exits the dining hall and Squeaks looks visibly excited. There is a pause as Thrack refills his tea and orders another shake for Squeaks. After coming down from his excitement, Squeaks mind revisits a previous sentence. "Friend friend Thrack, who was the other Alan said he planned on talking to to?"

Thrack dons a big grin. "My old teacher Pod 'Yilfnk. The far side of the moon was her previous home and where she trained me. She since moved to the Void. Much to her dismay, Alan got her address from one of his many friends there. She does not get along with Alan."

Squeaks gasps a bit as he contemplates what was said. "You you were on the moon moon?"

Thrack takes a sip of tea and motions to the server for another round. "My lips normally stay sealed about such matters. She dislikes being known of and is quite picky about whom she trains. But if you are to meet her, you should learn more about the uniqueness that is Pod 'Yilfnk..."
