"Jeez, shh. Yeah, okay, that's what I thought you said," Steve leaned in more toward Dustin and Daphne ducked down in embarrassment. "What does that mean?" Steve then questioned.

"It means, Steve, we could be heroes. True American heroes."

Daphne groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose, "God, don't say that. You know how much Harrington here likes to play hero."

Steve ignored Daphne again and leaned further into Dustin. "American heroes..." he spoke with excitement in his voice. "Just think, you can have all the ladies you want and more," Dustin said.

"More?"

"More."

"I like more."

Daphne once again rolled her eyes. "Yeah, because that's what being an American hero means... how do you know it was Russians anyway?" Dustin turned to Daphne and scoffed, "Uh, because they were speaking Russian."

"Yeah, they were speaking Russian," Steve added. Daphne glared at him, "Yeah, like you know what Russian sounds like. Plus, we haven't even heard this recording yet anyway."

Daphne could not believe that she left the record store for this conversation, the only thing it gave her was slight amusement and major annoyance. "What's the catch?" Steve turned to Dustin.

"No catch, you guys just have to help me."

"With what?" Steve and Daphne asked at the same time.

Dustin then unzipped his backpack next to him and pulled out a Russian-to-English translation book. "Translation."

Daphne shook her head and stood up crossing her arms in front of the boys. "No. No way am I being dragged into this, especially with Harrington. Some of us have jobs to get back to so you tell me when, no if, you somehow miraculously translate this "Russian transmission" when the mall closes or when you can't do it at all because neither of you knows Russian and it's not actually a Russian talking on the damn radio. I'm going back to my job now."

Daphne glared at Steve the entire time she talked and stormed away. Dustin watched Daphne walk away and then looked back at Steve who was doing the same. "What's up with her? She seems... meaner than the last time I saw her. Which is weird because I thought you guys were friends now."

Steve sighed and asked, "Do you not know?"

"Know what?"

Steve took Dustin into the back room and sat at the table while Robin reluctantly delt with customers. He told Dustin everything that happened during spring break, which was why he and Daphne hadn't spoken until a few days ago when she suddenly showed interest in Steve again. Just not enough for them to have the relationship they used to have.

"Wait, I was still here then. Why didn't anyone tell me?" Dustin asked in an exasperated tone. Steve shrugged, "I don't know I thought all of you dipshits knew since Daphne suddenly started disappearing when we would hang out. That and I heard Max telling Lucas, so I just assumed everyone knew."
