The group was all staring around at each other now. Not knowing where to start. Where could they get supplies? How would they get there without being seen? Would everyone go or would some stay behind? How could they distract the bats and get Vecna's attention at the same time? There were too many probabilities and possibilities to count."Well, even if we find someplace with supplies, my car only seats five and it doesn't even start," Daphne huffed in frustration. "Guys! Guys! One thing at a time, all right?" Steve interjected while running his hands through his hair.
"Wait! I got it!" Eddie grinned making the commotion die down, "Hargrove, you got a phonebook or something 'round here? Somewhere?" Eddie was spinning around the room looking for a phonebook or newspaper then went into the kitchen.
Daphne walked into the kitchen and grabbed the phonebook that was on top of their refrigerator. "Uh, here," Daphne stammered, walking the book over to Eddie at their dining table. Eddie began flipping the pages awkwardly at first until he found the page he needed. Everyone scampered around him to see what he was looking for.
Finally, he slammed the book down on an open page and said, "Check this out. The War Zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, uh, killing things, basically."
Eddie turned his head around to everyone around the table as he spoke. Steve, Daphne, Dustin, and then Nancy on his right. And Robin, Erica, and Lucas on his left. Max stayed back, away from the group at the table but listened nonetheless.
"You think Rambo has enough guns there?" Robin commented, staring at the advertisement, "Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?"
"Well, lucky for us it is, so... This... this place is just far enough outside Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of the main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks," Eddie informed.
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called The War Zone," Erica interjected. She had a good point and as much as they didn't want to split up again maybe they had to. Especially if Daphne's car was their only hope of transportation.
"Yeah, normally I'd agree, but we need the weapons. So, I think it's worth the risk," Nancy stated, answering Erica and crossing her arms over her chest. "Me too," Lucas agreed.
"But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back," Dustin interjected.
"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie jumped in. "Well, unless one of you can miraculously fix my broken car by all means, but again, it seats five," Daphne added, staring at everyone. "No, we have to stick together. No more splitting up, at least not until we go back," Nancy demanded.
"And no, Hargrove, not your car," Eddie added.
"What, you got some car we don't know about?" Steve questioned Eddie who was leaning over the table below him. Eddie slowly stood up straight and said, "It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh... it'll do."
