The group of five ran and ran and ran, almost to the point of fainting when they finally found cover. A darker, much creepier version of Skull Rock came into view and the four crouched under the rock formation.

They were all huddled together and watched the dark sky with the bat creatures swarming around. None of the teens could peel their eyes away from the sky. All of them were trying to catch their breaths and finally after what felt like hours the bats finally seemed to be leaving.

The thundering and lightning sky seemed to calm and slowly the group started to creep out from under the rocks. Robin began to stand up first, making sure the bats were indeed flying away. "Oh... okay," Robin breathed, "That was close."

"Yeah, too close," Eddie panted, agreeing.

Everyone stood and started to step out when at the back of the group Steve breathed out, "Oh, sh... shit." He braced himself from collapsing on a rock nearby and Daphne snapped her head around to look at him. "Steve?" She gasped and ran over to his side.

"I'm fine. I'm fine," Steve protested and tried to brush Daphne off. Steve looked as if he was about to pass out. He and Daphne were staring down at the wounds on his torso when Daphne shook her head frantically.

"No. No, you're not. You're losing blood. C'mere. Sit, sit, sit," Daphne instructed and slowly Steve sank to his knees with her guiding him.

He leaned back on the stone behind him trying not to touch the open wounds on his sides. Steve kept letting out breaths of pain and Daphne looked back at Nancy behind her in a sudden feeling of panic.

Suddenly, every logical thought left her brain and all she could think about was not losing Steve. Without hesitation, Nancy began to tear off the end of her shirt. "Here... use this. Tie it firm. Not too loose and not too tight," she said.

Daphne gave a nod when Robin crouched down next to her to check on Steve. "Oh. Okay. So the good news is I'm pretty sure wooziness is not a symptom of rabies. But, um, if you start having hallucinations or muscle spasms, or you start feeling really aggressive like you wanna punch me or something then you should totally let me know," Robin rambled.

Steve couldn't take it anymore and breathed out, "Robin," grabbing her attention. "Yeah?" She asked in a concerned tone.

"I kinda wanna punch you," he managed to get out while trying to keep his mind focused.

Robin laughed, "Sense of humor's still intact. That's a good sign."

Steve nodded weakly as Nancy finished tearing off the last bit of fabric that hung off the end of her top and handed it to Daphne. Daphne turned back to Steve and sighed.

"Okay," Robin said and stepped away with Nancy, but stayed close by just in case.

Steve pushed himself off the stone to sit up while Daphne opened up the cloth to tie it around Steve's wounds. Daphne took a deep breath and held up the cloth to line it up with the bites. "Okay. You ready?" She asked as she looked up at Steve who still had his eyes closed.
