The next day when Steve woke up, he was hopeful. Especially since Daphne hadn't called saying something happened in the night. He had a sudden surge of faith. They were closer to finding Vecna and saving Max and he finally knew the truth about what had happened with Daphne the year prior. He was just unsure about how to go about the matter.

Even with the end of the world in the cards, Steve never stopped thinking about Daphne. But she did have bigger fish to fry at the moment what with Max being on the brink of uncertain death. Steve was probably the least of her worries and the furthest thing from her mind at the moment, or so he brought himself to think.

Steve, however, was not particularly happy with Robin when he found out she knew of Daphne's letters all along. And that she kept it from him.

All Robin had to defend herself with was that she was being loyal to Daphne. She didn't want anyone telling Steve but herself and that's what Robin did. Eventually, she forgot completely after all the time that had passed.

By the morning, Steve had already silently forgiven Robin and knew they should pick up Daphne and Max and meet everyone at the Wheeler's house again. Daphne and Max looked just as refreshed as Steve and Robin. Their eyes seemed fuller and more alive with the help of clean clothes. Daphne was once again wearing a pair of jeans and yet another band t-shirt. And even with the dark atmosphere, they greeted their friends as if nothing was wrong.

Soon enough, Robin, Steve, Daphne, and Max, had picked up Dustin and were headed to Nancy's. Lucas was already there since he lived down the street and the group was together again. They piled into Nancy's car once again and drove to the nearest convenience store to get Eddie some food and his requested six-pack of beers.

Nancy parked and she, Robin, and Max waited in the car while Daphne, Dustin, Steve, and Lucas went inside. Steve grabbed the beer while the other three grabbed things they thought Eddie might like to eat.

In just a few minutes of practically terrorizing the convenience store, the four went back out to Nancy's car. Daphne, after seeing that Lucas still looked concerned for Max, then encouraged him to take her spot next to Max in the car.

Lucas smiled and nodded to Daphne before climbing back into the car next to Max. Daphne climbed into the very back of the Station Wagon with Steve and Dustin. She didn't mind having to deal with the two boys for a while, especially if it made Lucas and Max feel a little better.

They were almost to Reefer Rick's place when Robin piped up from the front seat saying, "Not to be a wimp, but can I maybe sit in the car for this visit? 'Cause, this is gonna totally and royally suck."

"It'll be fine," Nancy replied, unconvincingly.

Robin sighed, "I just can't stand to see those dull eyes of Eddie's break again. I really, really can't."
