The next morning, Daphne and Max were picked up by Steve, Robin, and Dustin. The other three had already gone to the store for the list that Eddie had given them and also mentioned tapping into the police radios with Dustin's Cerebro. Max and Daphne climbed into the backseat where Robin was with a few bags of groceries.

Without hesitation, Steve quickly drove to Lover's Lake and to Reefer Rick's where Eddie was still hiding out in the boat house. Upon their arrival, Eddie was startled awake. He shot out of the boat with the same broken bottle he had last night and tried to get a look at who was coming from the window.

Suddenly, the door flew open making Eddie jump back. "Jesus..." he shouted and in walked Dustin, then Robin, then Daphne, Max, and lastly Steve. "Delivery service," Dustin grinned, holding up two bags of groceries. Eddie exhaled in relief at the sight of them and went over to take the bags from Dustin.

He took his place, sitting in the boat and munching on Honeycombs while Steve and Dustin were on one side of the boat and all of the girls on the other. Dustin found a stool to sit on, while Max and Daphne shared a crate, and Steve and Robin stood.

"So, we got, uh, some good news and some bad news," Dustin started hesitantly. "How do you prefer it?"

"Bad news first, always," Eddie answered, mouth full of cereal. "All right. Bad news."

"We tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you. Also, they're uh, pretty convinced you killed Chrissy," Dustin said.

"Like a hundred percent convinced," Max added.

Daphne sighed, "Way to soften the blow guys, jeez." Eddie nodded and blinked and turned back to Dustin to ask, "And the good news?"

"Your name hasn't gone public yet," Robin answered, "But if we found you, it's a matter of time before others do too. And once that gets out, everyone and their shallow-minded mother is gonna be gunning for you," she finished.

"Hunt the freak, right?" Eddie commented.

    "Exactly," Robin confirmed.

    "Shit."

Quickly, Dustin jumped into the conversation again so Eddie wouldn't spiral. "So, before that happens, we need to find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence." Eddie shook his head again and sighed, "That's all, Dustin. That's all?"

"Yeah, no, that's pretty much it," Dustin confirmed in a squeaky voice.

Finally, Robin piped up again to try and reassure Eddie. "Listen, Eddie, I know everything Dustin is saying sounds totally delusional, but we've actually been through this kinda thing before. I mean, they have a... a few times," Robin continued to ramble while Eddie looked at Steve who nodded, and then Daphne who nodded as well.
