When Daphne returned to her quiet home, Susan and her father were already asleep, Billy was not home again and Max had slept over at El's house. So, Daphne ate some leftovers by herself and went to bed just after. However, sleep did not come as easily as she thought, she was exhausted enough, physically and mentally, but it was hard to push Steve from her thoughts causing her to fall asleep much later than she wanted to.

So, the next morning Daphne woke up to the sound of the front door slamming and as she looked over at her clock she realized that she was running late and slept past her alarm. If she had even set it the night before to which Daphne figured out that she didn't. She jumped out of bed and threw on any pair of jeans and tank top she could find before deciding to leave before she wouldn't make it on time to open the store.

Daphne locked the door to the now empty house, jumped into her car, and rushed to the mall. Luckily, there were only a few cars parked outside and it was also a Monday, so the mall wouldn't become very busy until later in the day.

In a flustered and hurried manner, Daphne pulled the keys to unlock the store out of her bag and opened the glass doors. She then walked through the aisles of records to the back office to turn on all the lights and put her things down.

After letting out a huff to catch her breath and smoothing down her hair Daphne went out to check on the rest of the store and put some music on to start the day before the events of the night before started to flood her brain.

The rest of Daphne's morning was just like the one yesterday, but the entire time all she did was debate on going downstairs to Scoops Ahoy to check on Robin's progress, but at the cost of seeing Steve. Daphne didn't know if she could bring herself to do it.

However, if everything was figured out and the code was cracked and they got into trouble Daphne knew she needed to be there. She couldn't just let them go on into something dangerous by themselves.

So, when it was time for her lunch break Daphne went down to the food court and as she passed by Scoops Ahoy which was as busy as ever she saw no sign of Steve. It was only Robin at the front counter with her back turned and headphones on.

Daphne waited a few moments and then took the last piece of courage she had left to walk inside and check on Robin. When she walked in there was a group of young girls standing at the counter and trying to get Robin's attention, so Daphne decided to wait patiently behind them and hope that Steve wouldn't walk out from the back.

The girl at the front continuously rang the bell by the register while Robin couldn't hear a thing and was flipping through the Russian translation book. "Excuse me! Ahoy!" Finally, Robin saw the group of girls from the corner of her eye and turned around, leaned on the back counter, and took her headphones off.

"I'd like to try the peanut butter and chocolate swirl, please," the girl asked in a condescending tone. "No. No more samples today," Robin smiled.
