On The Thin Ice

Life was about taking chances. Going for what you wanted so that you didn't get old and have pages to regret. Sometimes you won and sometimes you lost, as much as I hated it.

What I saw that night, two days ago, in the parking lot was gave me too much pain. I didn't go to AVU for two days, not because I don't want to see her but I need to breathe, I need to distance myself for me to think. Hindi ako natalo, alam ko. Dahil hindi ko pa naman nasusubukan. I know I said that I'll court her but how can I do that if I don't know how?

I'm not mad at Miss Ragel. I'm not mad at myself either for giving my love to her, she probably needed it the most.

"What 'cha thinkin'?" Eros asked and sit next to me.

I'm here at my house right now, my own house where Nanay Sabel is. And Eros just visiting me because according to him ang boring daw sa AVU. Eya, Vann, and Troy are in AVU right now since last day na ngayon ng competition.

"Nothing" tanging sagot ko sa tanong ni Eros. He looked at me na parang hindi naniniwala sa sagot ko.

"What? What's that look for?" I asked.

Ngumiti lang naman siya tsaka ginulo ang buhok na ikinasama ko ng tingin sa kanya.

"You know, Rai. Lo-" I cut him off

"I don't know" sabat ko. Seryoso lang naman itong nakatingin sa'kin tsaka bumuntong hininga.

"Listen. Love isn't always pretty, Rai. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. Something better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way" he said seriously.

I looked confusedly to him as I say...

"What's that for? I'm not even broken hearted, dumbass!" I groaned.

Tumawa lang naman siya then he shrugged his shoulder bago tumayo.

"It's Friday. Go take a bath, we're going to AVU they need you there" sabi nito na ikinakunot ng noo ko.

"What do you mean that they need me there?" I asked.

"You'll see if we get there" sabi nito tsaka naglakad papuntang kusina, ang kapal ng mukha.

Matapos ang halos isang oras ay bumaba na'kong muli. It's around 2 pm and I don't know why I need to be there.

"Girls are too slow" I heard Eros mumbled.

"Really Eros? E kung pasabugin ko kaya 'yang bungo mo?" I said coldly.

"Kidding, let's go" sabi niya at nagsimula ng maglakad.

He used his lamborghini huracan while I used my Black McLaren 720S.

I started the engine as I drove towards AVU. Ilang minuto lang ay nakarating na kami as we search for vacant space so we can park our car, pero mukhang mas marami yata ang tao ngayon than the first day of competition dahil wala kaming mahanap na parking.

Narinig kong bumusina sa'kin si Eros so I turned down the car mirror to see him.

"You inflicted yourself, young lady. You have your own parking area, why don't we use it?" A smirk come out from his lips as I rolled my eyes on him.

"As if I have a choice" sabi ko nalang as I drove again towards my personal parking.

After we parked our car ay dumeretso na kami papuntang gym. Hindi ko alam sa lalaking 'to, mukhang hindi naman ako kailangan dito.

"Today is a final game, right?" He suddenly uttered so I looked at him.

"Final game?" I asked.

His brow furrowed as he looked at me. I heard him sighed at hindi na nagsalita. I just shrugged my shoulder before I continue walking. Pero nang marinig ko ang malakas na sigawan na nagmumula sa girls gym ay napagtanto ko ang ibig sabihin ni Eros. Hindi ako nanuod nung laban ng AVU against Mcvantra University noong Wednesday but Eya told me na nanalo ang AVU pero napansin ko na parang may hindi siya sinabi nung nagkwekwento siya.
