On Saturday morning, eight Hogwarts students headed off to hogsmeade; Sirius, James, Lily, Peter, Marlene, Mary, Remus and the Ravenclaw girl, Effie that Peter had been talking to for a few weeks now.
"Do you want to share a room with me tonight?" Mary looked at Sirius with her large brown eyes. Sirius tried his best to contain the smile that was curling his lips.
"Sure, as long as you don't snore," Sirius replied, poking her in the ribs playfully. Bubbles of laughter erupted from Mary, dimples making indents in her cheeks.
Remus tried to keep his rude comments contained, but if he heard Mary giggle one more time, he was going to throw himself off a building.
He and James walked in silence most of the way, James' eyes more focused on the red head in-front on him
Lily and Marlene split away from their group as soon as they reached hogsmeade, Peter and Effie following in suit.
"Oh! Sirius have you been to hogsmeade yet?" Mary asked, an excited look on her face. Sirius thought back to the time that he and Remus had come to hogsmeade alone.
"Once," Sirius shrugged, "only went to the pub and that stationary store."
"Eee! Let me show you some good stores!" She beamed, grabbing his hand and leading him off to the first store on their right.
Remus and James split off, Remus heading for the nearest telephone and James seeking out Lily.
After a long day of staring at clothes and plants, Sirius was yearning for some well deserved rest.
They didn't interact much with their friends, Mary making it rather impossible. Whenever James or Remus came within ten feet of them she would steer him the other way.
"Is that the shrieking shack?" Sirius swatted a couple black flies away. Mary nodded a mischievous grin climbing its way onto her lips.
"Apparently, a boy was murdered there in the 1800s, and he still seeks revenge," Mary looked up at the abandoned looking house sitting rather calmly on the hill, "you'll die if you go in there."
"Bull shit," Sirius laughed, it lessening once he noticed Mary's serious look.
"I swear!"
"I'll go in there," Sirius claimed, not looking any tougher as his teeth chattered due to the cold, "I want to get some rest for now though."
"Oh yeah, you have that tea party tomorrow," she chuckled, following him down the cobbled road.
"It's not a tea party," he yawned, wrapping his fingers between hers. The two of them walked side by side to the pub, Mary leaning heavily against Sirius as they made their way in.
"One room," Sirius leaned across the bar counter. The woman behind the counter gave Sirius a doubtful look.
"Dont you two be doin' anything bad up there," she sighed, handing Sirius the key, "cant have you botherin' my guests."
"We won't, trust me," is exactly what Sirius said before he slammed Mary against the door of their room.
She didn't kiss as harshly as Trevor did, she took her time with each movement; it was irritating, especially for an impatient boy like him.
Her hand made its way up his shirt, cold fingertips pressing against his skin. He shivered under her touch.
"Ugh, Sirius touch me," she begged, moving his hand downwards. He wasn't sure what he was doing, but Mary guided his hand where to go and she seemed to be liking it.
She suddenly grabbed him by his biceps and turned so he was pushed against the door. Mary fell down to her knees, a smile on her face as she pulled down Sirius' zipper with her teeth.
"Wait, I'm going to the bathroom for a moment," she pulled away from his belt quickly. A smile grew on her face as she got back up and kissed him on the lips.
"Wait on the bed, I won't be long."
She ended up taking more than enough time for Sirius to fall into a deep sleep. He wasn't anticipating her return; in all honesty, he found her... boring?
Sirius awoke the next morning with the sun shining brightly on his eyelids. He sat up, taking a look at the empty spot beside him.
The clock on the wall read that it was 10 minutes to noon. Sirius stumbled out of bed, searching for his shirt frantically.
It didn't take long before he was running out of the pub, Remus and James casting him a puzzled look as they finished on their breakfast.
He didn't have the time to think about where Mary had gone, or what had happened the night before, but he was pretty sure that he had fucked up.
It was times like this that he wished he had a watch. He sprinted down the cobbled roads of hogsmeade, fixing his tie as he ran.
The school grounds were sprinkled with students doing mindless activities, none of them aware of the consequences that Sirius was bound to face for his tardiness.
His brother and cousins were waiting for him at the entrance of the school. Regulus frowned as he made it to the top of the stairwell.
"There you are, 3 minutes late," His youngest cousin, Bellatrix, said in her shrill voice. Sirius rolled his eyes, ignoring her completely.
"Where are we having tea?" Sirius sighed, turning to his other cousin, narcissca. She was a little less stuck up than Bellatrix, but her fiancé made her seem like a real pain in the ass.
"There's a place that our family usually goes to, follow me," she turned on her heel, heading towards another stairwell.
Regulus rolled his eyes at her robotic response, earning a chuckle from Sirius.
