"I'm going to throw him in this lake someday," Remus thought out loud, shielding his eyes from the warm sunlight. The terrified look in Peter's eyes that fateful night had been engraved into his brain, gradually becoming a distraction from the nightmare that was becoming of his relationship.

"Are we still talking about Snivellus?" Sirius muttered in a bored tone, glancing to his left. The only other sound to be heard that afternoon besides the four boys' useless conversation, was the rapid waves of the lake in-front of them.

It had been a few days since Peters misfortune and the four of them sat infront of the lake in the blazing heat, discussing what they should do with Snape. Remus had a hard time thinking because he still had a lingering shame surrounding him after Katherine had forcefully kissed him Goodnight. He felt dirty even after days had passed, not even the lake could cleanse him.

"Yes," Remus hummed, looking up from Marlene's schoolwork. He had agreed to look it over in exchange for a chocolate frog.

"Now thats not a bad idea-" James began, but was cut of by Sirius groaning in agony. The attention was drawn to the dark haired boy who was clutching his head in dramatics.

"Merlin save us all," Sirius frowned, looking past Remus' head. The others looked past Remus too and all three of them now shared the same mournful expression.

"What is it?" Remus looked behind himself and spotted his curly headed girlfriend storming over rather angrily. This wasn't an unfamiliar sight as of lately.

"Have fun with that, I'm leaving," Peter got up and walked away leaving Remus stranded and hopeless. It was true that Peter had been distant lately, perhaps it was because he felt left out, or because he was hiding something.

Peter was still wearing the yellow gloves that Madame Pomfrey had put his hands in on Tuesday night after he had been hexed by Severus. They had teased him so heavily on the banana colored gloves that he did everything in his power to keep his hands out of their eyesight.

"Lupin. Get up now. I cannot express how angry I am with you right now," Katherine hissed, finally close enough for them to truly feel her wrath. Remus gathered his belongings and got up obediently, eyeing his girlfriend with a look of concern.

There was nothing that came to mind when he thought of things that might've made her angry. Usually it was over stupid things, like he didn't say hi to her in the corridor or he had chosen Sirius to be his partner in class.

"Black. Potter," she scowled at the two of them before grabbing Remus by the wrist and hauling him towards the castle. Sirius mimicked her scoul and muttered something distasteful before returning his attention to the lake.

James gave Remus a pained look as he was pulled away. Nothing he had done could've been that bad to cause such an outburst, Remus thought to himself

"I thought I told you to stop hanging out with them," she grumbled once they were out of earshot from his roommates. This comment earned her a dirty look from the tall boy stuck in her grasp.

"They're my friends," Remus protested, wrenching his arm loose from her. He looked like a child being scolded by his mother.

"Remus! You can make new friends! They are ruining your reputation!" Katherine exclaimed a little too loudly, considering the fact that they were still outside and only a couple feet from the castle.

"What do you mean by that?" Remus furrowed his brow. He had enough of her talking down on his friends that he had known for longer than he had known her.
