Tuesday,
January 1st.The new year had begun yet Sirius hadn't changed one bit. He was so humiliated by what had happened the night of the party that he went out of his way to avoid conversation with Remus.
Remus didn't seem to care about what they had done, proceeding to find ways to graze arms with Sirius or make eye contact with him from across the class.
Sirius made the ultimate decision that he had to end things with Trevor completely. If he and Remus were going to be anything serious, he had to make sure that nothing got in the way of that.
During his fifth class of the day he spotted the boy in question walking down the corridor. Sirius hand shot up spontaneously.
"Yes, Mr. Black," the ghastly professor spoke with dragged out words.
"Can I use the bathroom sir," Sirius blurted out eagerly, feeling the eyes of the entire room on him. His teacher glanced at the clock and then back at him with an irritated look on his face.
"Theres only ten minutes of class left you can wait," he turned back to the chalkboard and continued his lecture. Nobody ever asked to use the washroom during history of magic because they knew the response.
Sirius rose his hand again, waving it urgently. His professor grunted, turning around again.
"What is it this time Sirius."
"It's an emergency," Sirius added. The teacher waved him off. Sirius gratefully gathered his bag knowing all to well that he wouldnt return in time.
He then sprinted into the hall in pursuit of Trevor. He caught sight of him entering the abandoned girls toilets.
"Trevor," Sirius panted doubling over. Trevor turned on his heel and gave him a curious look.
"Can we talk," Sirius choked out.
Trevor smiled slyly and nodded towards the bathrooms. Ignoring his suggestion, Sirius dragged him into an empty classroom nearby. The filth in the classroom almost made Sirius sick but it suited the conversation they were about to have.
"Why did you fight james?" Sirius furrowed his brow. Trevor's playful demeanor shifted.
"I thought we were gonna do something fun, but if ur gonna be a bitch about this I'm just gonna leave," he grumbled like an upset child.
"You can't just brush me off like that. You're pissing me off," Sirius crossed his arms over his chest.
"I saw you and your buddy head upstairs at the party, what was that about," Trevor teased, arching one of his eyebrows.
"Can you stop avoiding the subject?"
"He swung at me first, it's not my fault he lost."
"Fuck you, this is useless," Sirius made a start for the door.
"I heard you upstairs," Trevor added a smile crawling up on his face, "more than just a friend isn't he?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Sirius countered, turning on his foot to face Trevor again.
"Oh Remus! Please don't stop," Trevor mimicked him. Sirius felt the heat rise in his skin.
"What? So you stood with your ear against the door like some pervert?" Sirius let out.
"Ew. No. I went upstairs to see if you were still awake,"he narrowed his eyes at the accusation, "you're vocal."
They stood in silence for a moment, Sirius biting his tongue in an effort not to curse at him. Trevor's expression dropped, and he let out a sigh.
"I thought we were something," he muttered, toying with the watch on his wrist.
"We were untilI found out you were a fucking psycho," sirius shouted, "and it wasn't long before I found out."
"God, how can anyone put up with you acting this way?" Trevor dismissed him casually.
"I never did anything to hurt you," sirius bit back. The seventh year scrunched up his nose in disgust.
"You cheated on me," He retorted, crossing his arms over his chest.
"It's not cheating if I wasn't dating you," Sirius hissed, "you told me that you weren't my boyfriend. Remember? It was around the time that you got a fucking girlfriend."
"Your voice is like nails on a chalkboard," Trevor groaned, rubbing his face with his hands.
"Okay? And you're shit in bed," Sirius ended, leaving it at that.
Thinking back on it, Trevor really was shit in bed. They had only gone so far as a blowjob, but even then, it wasn't even comparable to the orgasm that Remus had orchestrated.
His heart felt lighter knowing that he had severed ties with Trevor, and that he no longer had to spend his time sneaking around.
Sirius headed to his next class silently, taking deep breaths to calm down the anger boiling inside of him. He pulled open one of the large doors of his Divination classroom and instantly had the attention of everyone in the room.
His professor gave him an airy smile before returning to her teaching. Sirius awkwardly shuffled up the small steps at the side of the class and took is seat at the table with James and Remus.
"Where were you?" Remus whispered, casting him a sideways look. He kept an eye on their table while responding.
"I'll tell you later," Sirius whispered.
