Friday,
October 15th

Remus rolled over upon hearing the dormitory door slam shut. It was rare that his roommates slammed it even if they were mad, so he was confused on what had happened.

"You slept with Sirius!" Katherine shouted in his ear, waking Remus up from his deep slumber. This accusation arrose Remus from his almost deadly slumber and almost gave him a heart attack.

"What?" he fake laughed, but it sounded nervous and airy. Katherine looked downright furious, hair askew and eyes almost bulging from her head.

"The person you fucked on new years, was Sirius fucking Black? The boy who has probably slept with more girls than you ever will, had sex with you?" she snapped, grabbing Remus' wrist tightly in an effort to hurt him.

"What the fuck, no I didn't have sex with him," Remus furrowed his brow trying to pull his arm out of her grasp, "who is telling you this bullshit?"

"My cousin, Trevor," it was at this moment that Remus had cursed his past self for ignoring her requests to meet her family, maybe then he would've seen what psycho she was related to.

"Right. Trevor," Remus sighed, dropping his face in his hands, "we didn't do anything, we were drunk, I can't really remember that well."

"I always knew he was up to something," Katherine shuddered, dropping her hand to her side, "if it wasn't sex then what was it?"

"I dont want to talk about it."

"I'm your girlfriend, you need to tell me these things," She rose her voice in a motherly mannor.

"You are not my girlfriend."

"If you don't tell me I will tell the whole school that you and Sirius are fruits!" She shrieked.

"If you don't get out of my room right now I swear to fucking god Katherine," Remus hissed, getting out of bed to face her properly. Katherine slapped him across the face like she was disciplining a naughty child.

"You disgust me," she growled bringing her arm back up to strike again. It took every fiber in his being not to hit her back, but he knew it wouldn't be a fair fight because he was almost twice her size.

"You wouldn't even take your shirt off around me but here you are having sex with that fucking slut," She waved her arms around violently.

"He doesn't want you, and you don't deserve me, I can't believe I ever dated you," Katherine narrowed her eyes, "you filthy fucking fa-"

Remus grabbed her be the arm and began to haul her towards the door of the dormitory. She swung and bit and even tried to pull on his hair, but in the end he finally got her out of the dormitory.

"You don't have the right to call him a slut after the shit you pulled with Gideon," Remus concluded, shutting the door on her face.

Something small fell in the bathroom, indicating that somebody had overheard the whole argument. He prayed to the lord that it would only be Sirius, dropping his head into his hands.

The bathroom door opened and Peter stood in the doorway with a concerned look on his face, toothbrush at hand.

Once the door shut behind him, Peter took his place on the bed. He looked at Remus almost mournfully, but at least he wasn't angry.

"What was that about?" Peter let out in monotone staring at Remus blankly. In all the seven years that they had known each other, Remus had never seen this look on Peter's face.

"Peter-" Remus tried, but he quickly shut his mouth after Peter shook his head. He was eerily calm making the atmosphere of the room shift dramatically.

"Are you like friends with benefits or...?" he awkwardly questioned. Remus took a seat beside him cautiously his eyes dancing between the floor and the wall.

"No, I swear," Remus sighed, ignoring the fact that he had been so desperate to touch him the night before, "we made a mistake on New Years, when we were both very drunk."

"I don't want this to hurt you, Remus," Peter gave him a stern look, "I love you Remus and I love Sirius too, but we both know that if Katherine told people about your relation-"

"Theres nothing between us, Peter, god," Remus got up irritably, his impatience taking over. The fact that Peter wouldn't believe his lie was making him angry, and perhaps the fact that his sleep had been cut short,

After a moment of silence Peter continued, "so... what did you guys do?" he piqued an eyebrow.

"Peter," Remus looked at him almost furiously. The small boy threw his arms in the air in defence.

"What? I was just curious," Peter added lightheartedly, "but seriously, don't do anything stupid."

Remus nodded hesitantly, knowing all too well that he was going to do something stupid, and his relationship with Sirius was going to end bad, even as just friends. He was embarrassed now that Peter knew his secret, but also relieved that he wasn't disgusted or angry.

Peter stood up and headed over to his bed, packing up his bag for his classes of the day. He looked at the clock then tutted to himself.

"Fucking psycho, its seven in the morning. Remus if you get back together, I'm going to get institutionalized," Peter threw his bag over his shoulder and headed out of the dorm without another word.

Remus was shaky after their interaction, how had he changed moods so rapidly. How could his silence be scarier than any words ever spoken.

Classes started in less than thirty minutes, and he now had to face Sirius and Peter in the same room for the majority of his day. The only person he was really worried about was James, because there was no telling what his reaction might be.

There was no use in telling James about it, unless he wanted to embarrass himself. For all he knew, Sirius probably had already told him.

Maybe if he pretended like nothing at all had happened, then he could believe it too.
