Starved

Sirius and Mary began to spend every given moment together. After classes they would spend time together in the library, they watched all of the quidditch matches together, and they every snuck around sometimes, thus resulting in the situation they were stuck in now.

"Stop, you're gonna get us caught," Mary moaned, tilting her head to provide Sirius more space at the crook of her neck. He shifted his leg higher between the dark skin of her thighs.

"Shh.." Sirius shushed, his hands gripping onto her waist tighter. Her hand clawed at the door, grasping for anything in reach.

Sirius was getting more and more familiar with what Mary liked, his hands trailing naturally to the curve of her ass. And just as things started to get good, the familiar call of Remus' voice rang through their ears.

"Peter im going to burn you," he seethed, footsteps pacing down the hallway rapidly. Mary froze, pushing Sirius backwards into a tin bucket, creating a loud crashing noise.

"I swear to Merlin.." Remus muttered before tearing the door open. It took him a few seconds to take in the sight before him, but once he finally understood, his skin turned a lovely shade of crimson.

"I was... ehm," Sirius cleared his throat, trying to fix the undone buttons of his white shirt. Remus shook his head frantically and then shut the door with a bang.

"Sirius, I'm sick of sneaking around, Remus has caught us more than twice and I'm sure that everyone else is thinking it, so why can't we make this official?" Mary's eyes narrowed, Sirius looking at her attentively in order to make out the shape of her expression in the dark broom closet.

"Not this again... Mary, you know my family, if they find out that I'm dating a.." Sirius stopped himself before he said something he knew he'd regret.

"Dating a what? A black girl? A half- blood? Or is it because I'm not your first cousin?" She snapped, pushing Sirius once more against the back wall before storming out of the broom closet they were situated in.

Sirius let out a loud sigh, dropping his head into his hands. He wasn't the best with words and he knew that, but it still wasn't an excuse for what he had said.

He left the broom closet shortly after her, his head hung low, eyes glued to the stone floor. It was like walking on eggshells around Mary, he never knew when she would snap.

Of course, Sirius wasn't any better; he had a habit of ignoring people when there was an issue. James often fell victim to his silent treatment, the end of it resulting in an apology coming from Sirius' end.

The portrait of the fat lady appeared before his wandering body, her dress looking nicer than usual. Sirius eyed her proud expression curiously.

"Whats with the dress?" Sirius inquired, cocking his head to the left, like a concerned dog. She gave Sirius a once over.

"None of your business!" She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest angrily. Sirius stuck his hands up in defence.

"Sorry, sorry," he choked out, followed by the odd sounding password that always had his tongue tangled.

The portrait swung open revealing the common room, the scent of the smoke filled fireplace warmed his heart. Mary approached him with a guilty look on her face.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you.. I do know what your family's like, and I'm sorry for saying that you date your cousins," she took him by the forearm, leading him further away from the couches.

"It's my fault honestly, I shouldn't have said that in the first place," Sirius looked down at her sincerely.

"I just feel like you're ashamed of me or something," her eyes trailed off, busying themselves with the walls.

"No! No! Of course not, you're gorgeous and funny, and crazy smart," Sirius smiled moving a hand up to her shoulder.

A blush moved onto her cheeks, "ugh, don't be cheesy," she smiled.

Sirius gave her a departing kiss before heading off to his dormitory in order to apologize to Remus. He could hear a muffled argument as he made his way up the stairs, the sounds only getting louder as he neared the door of his own dormitory.

His hand hovered over the door handle, the shouts growing clearer. It wasn't necessarily an argument, more of a one sided conversation between Remus and James.

"It's just so humiliating, that was like the fourth time that has happened, why do they have to do that everywhere," Remus growled.

James' response was quieter, but it was something along the lines of a "Mhm."

"Do you think they're dating?" Remus' tone changed. Sirius pressed closer to the door to hear James' response. In result a floorboard creaked, causing silence to spread within the dormitory.

Sirius sped down the stairwell, grabbing a spot next to Mary on the couch. She looked at him with a curious expression.

"What's wrong?" She frowned, facing Sirius directly. Sirius just shook his head and smiled lightly.

"Nothing," he grabbed ahold of her hand, making circular motions around the base of her thumb.

Mary nodded in agreement, resting her head against his shoulder. A door opened with a creak from up the stairs.

James came downstairs, followed by Remus, the two of them casually taking a seat on different couches.

"Mary do you know where Lily is?" James inquired, whipping his head in her direction. Sirius took a deep breath of the cold aired common room.

"She has rounds by the hospital wing tonight," Mary yawned nuzzling closer to Sirius. A moment of silence passed over the group as James sat in thought.

James sent Remus an apologetic look before he headed off in search of his beloved red head. The crackling from the fireplace was almost similar to the sound passing through Remus' irritated mind.

Mary scooted closer to Sirius until she was straddling his lap, a sheepish grin on her face. After a quick look around the common room, Sirius realized that it was just Remus and a couple of fourth years occupying their space.

"There's people," Sirius muttered his skin heating up under her lingering eyes. His hands rested on her thighs, moving up higher reluctantly.

"Let them watch," She smiled, placing a kiss on Sirius' lips. Sirius gave up his argument and allowed his lips to lead kisses down the side of her neck.

"We could go back to my room.." Sirius hummed between bites on her neck. In spite of what Remus had said moments before, Sirius' eyes flickered upwards to catch the look on his face at the shameless act of affection.

Remus was looking back shockingly, his eyes heavy lidded and looking starved. He held his gaze as Sirius worked his way back up to Mary's lips.

"I'm so comfortable," she huffed, her fingers stretching out behind the nape of his neck. Sirius ignored the words coming out of her mouth, his mind more focused on the glazed look he was receiving from his roommate.

He ran his fingers down Mary's back, hands resting just above the band of her skirt. Remus watched attentively, his eyes locked with the grey ones of Sirius.

The blonde watched as if he were waiting for something, his eyes wide with anticipation. Just as Sirius began to kiss Mary on the lips again, Remus' expression twisted.

Remus stood up in a hurry, his skin flushed and his expression looking as if he had just snapped out of a trance. Sirius watched him walk up the steps to the dormitory, a smile appearing on his lips.

The effect he had on Remus was clear, and it excited him. He calmly pushed Mary off of him, telling her some lie that allowed him to follow after Remus.

Upon reaching the dormitory, he took notice of the closed curtains surrounding Remus' bed and he took it as a sign of privacy and decidedly made his way to his own bed.

"Goodnight princess," Sirius chuckled, climbing into his own bed for the night.

There was no response.
