The Time (Dream x Y/n)

Chapter 8 "Saving Time"

How was such a thing possible? They managed to accidentally meet eachother and talk while at a coffee shop.

Y/n needed time to process this again. It was was too much for her to handle. She got out her pocket watch under the table and pressed the button. Time froze once again. She had some anxiety that she didn't show it or tell anyone about it and needed to calm down.

Normally, she would bottle her anxiety up but with this new power of hers, she could freeze time and deal with her anxiety without having to worry about it being so time consuming.

Y/n began to walk around to process it all. She paced around the coffee shop and eventually calmed down. When she did, she went back to the table and sat down.

She got her phone back out and went back into the position she was before. Y/n held her pocket watch under the table and pressed the button once again.

Time returned to normal and Clay went back to questioning it all. "Clay are you ok?" Y/n asked calmly.

"How are you so calm Y/n? We played videogames yesterday and we happened to end up talking to eachother at a coffee shop."

"Well that is not normal for sure but you shouldn't be so confused about it." Y/n said as she put her phone away. She took out her pocket watch from under the table and looked at the time.

"Everything is so confusing and weird right now Y/n I don't get how you are so calm about it right now."

"The only weird thing is that you were talking about yourself earlier." Y/n said with a small chuckle.

"Good point. So why do you have a pocket watch? Those things are kind of out of date now. I mean it looks cool but it's old fashioned." Clay said as he continued to drink his coffee.

"It was given to me on my birthday. It helps to calm me down when I'm-. When uh, I'm having a bad day. It looks cool." Y/n said as she took a bite of the donut she got.

Clay shrugged it off and they continued to chat as they finished their coffee. By the time they finished chatting, it had been 3 hours. Y/n said goodbye to Clay and he said bye as they both went home.

Y/n got home and her mother ran over to her and hugged her. "Where were you Y/n? I looked all over the place for you!"

"I went to go drop Amelia off at school when I stopped at a coffee shop and talked with a friend." Y/n replied as she hugged her back.

"I was so worried young lady! Don't ever do that again without telling me!"

"Sorry mom. I will tell you next time I go somewhere so you don't have to worry"

"Thank you Y/n. Now can you help me to wash the laundry please?"

"Yes mom." Y/n said as she slumped a bit and went around the house collecting all the wild laundry. After about 30 minutes, she had collected it all.

Then, when Y/n had to put it in the washing machine, she got an idea. She couldn't speed up time but maybe she could save some. Y/n took out her pocket watch and concentrated on keeping the washing machine unfrozen as she pressed the button.

Time froze once again and the washing machine was perfectly fine. Y/n then washed the laundry and unfroze time once she finished.

Her mother went up to check on Y/n and saw all the laundry washed and ready to be put through the dryer.

"How did you manage to do this Y/n?" Her mother asked confused.

"I have my ways. It's your turn to dry it so I'm going to go up to my room" Y/n said as she left her confused mother in the room with the laundry to dry it.

Y/n chuckled to herself as she walked into her room on how she just managed to save so much time. What could have been an hour of washing was now 2 minutes or less.

True, Y/n still had to take an hour but now it was like it never happened and the laundry was just done on the spot. With that watch, Y/n could save so much time. She would still have to do the stuff but now she wouldn't miss out on anything.

Imagine it, you have to clean the house and it will take a few hours but you want to go to the movies. Solution? Stop time! And Y/n could actually stop time now.

Y/n went over to her pc and began to play some Minecraft when her phone alarm went off. It was already time to pick up Amelia. Infact, she was late by 6 minutes already.

In an instant, Y/n grabbed her phone, turned off the alarm and stopped time. She ran downstairs where she left a note about going to pick Amelia up and then ran outside to go get Amelia from school.

She was halfway there when she realized she had no reason to run there if time was stopped so instead Y/n just walked around as she observed her surroundings.

It took her atleast 15 minutes to walk there since she looked at things on her way over to pick Amelia up. When she finally got to the front of the school, she saw something terrible.
