The nightmares frequently came to Wanda. They plagued her sleep, itched in the back of her brain when doing mundane tasks, and flooded the front of her mind when she was out in the field. It made her heart ache and her stomach twist.

Sometimes she could be doing something so mundane, so dull and the thought of Vision would arise. Her heart would break into a million pieces all over again. When she was walking around shopping centers, sometimes the thought of her sons, Tommy and Billy, tears would flood her eyes and the pain and emptiness grew prominent again.

Wanda's heart broke whenever she thought of her family.

After the situation in Westview simmered down and Wanda had drained Agatha of all her power, she ran. Sam was the first to hear of the situation and quickly went out to find her.

 There wasn't much left of the Avengers, the main leaders had fought bravely and honorably, losing their lives in the process to return the 50% of humanity that was snapped away.

~~~~~~
-two days after Westview's return to normalcy-
Wanda didn't have anywhere to go, she was now on the run again. She had trapped and altered the reality of a whole town. She sat at a bus stop that was a decent distance away from Westview. She sat there for a period of time unknown to her, she pondered and cried and then was silent and then pondered and cried some more.
Her children, her love, her home, her life was ruined. Snatched away from her. She was alone again. Her team was in shambles, the entirety of her family was gone, she had no one. The rage that soon bubbled inside her was nauseating. She hated Thanos, she hated what he did to Vision. She hated Agatha and how she hurt her boys and ran chaos through her home. She hated S.W.O.R.D. and how they couldn't of minded their damn business.
She had everything she ever wanted and it was stripped away from her. The rage was so intense it made Wanda woozy and dizzy, but she was so paralyzed in grief that she couldn't act upon it. Maybe it was best that she was paralyzed in her sadness.
"Wanda?"
She looked up, he was standing to the left of her, keeping his distance slightly. A tan jacket hugged him snugly and a soft look of concern and weariness was in his deep brown eyes. Wanda looked at him and tears flooded her eyes once more.
"Sam." she said very weakly. She rose to her tired feet and threw herself at him. He caught her and embraced her tightly while she cried into his neck, sobbing and sobbing. She couldn't even hold herself up she was in so much pain, yet, so relieved that Sam had found her.
He gave her small words of encouragement and security. "It's okay, Wanda. It's going to be okay." They were both hurting, Sam could somewhat sympathize with Wanda, after all, he had lost people he loved dearly as well.
He firmly held her by her shoulders and pulled away to look her in the eyes. They were all red and bloodshot, Sam figured she must've been sobbing for hours, possibly days. She had a few bruises and scratches on her face and hands. Sam sighed and smiled at her, "Listen, there's someone I would like you to meet. I think she could really help you."
