Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
For the next few days consecutively, Sidharth came to me and taught me self defence skills and fights. It was a lot of fun training with him and he made everything seem so easily and enjoyable. By now, I was doing much better and my smile was slowly coming back to me. Still, I was hoping that one day, everyone forget what happened to me and Dad accepts me back into his family. But this hope also seemed hopeless. As I was spending more time with Sidharth, we soon became friends and I trusted him completely after seeing how much he did for me. Still, I never once told him that I knew I was staying in his house but gave him hints so that he reveals so to me, himself. Even his clothes were changing and he started wearing more casual shirts and jeans, just like I advised. My life was slowly getting back on track and I was feeling happy again. As the sky began getting darker into the night, I made some tea and went to Sidharth who was sitting by the doorway. I offered him a cup but he refused saying, "I have my drink already." I noticed that he always had alcohol with him and drank everyday. "Why don't you quit this?" I asked. "It's a habit now," he said. "It's an addiction and it can kill you," I said. "We all have to die one day anyways," he said. I sighed and looked at him drinking down the bottle. "Where do you get energy after drinking so much?" I asked. "Thinking about what I have to do for you, I force energy to come," he said and drank again, "Don't ask why." "Why?" I still asked. He looked at me and said, "I told you, don't ask." "Ok, sorry," I said. He sucked his teeth and asked, "Why do you always say sorry?" "Don't ask why," I said and sipped my tea. I looked into his eyes and for the first time, I saw emotions. "Your eyes," I said. "What?" He asked. "They're just like mine. They only hold sorrow," I said. "Your eyes are beautiful even behind tears," he said. "So, you like them?" I asked. "Of course I do. I always hold back myself from looking at them because whenever I do, I can't look away," he said.
I felt embarrassed at his words and looked away. "I have something to tell you," he said. "What?" I asked. "I have to go out of the country for some work. I'll be gone for a week," he said. "And you won't be able to come and train me?" I said. He nodded. "I will arrange for Daksh to take care of you. He's my right hand man. He will guard you throughout the day and night," he said. "You sound like a mafia," I said. "And if I am? Will that change anything?" He asked. I frowned. "Once you don't kill me," I said. "I will never," he said deeply. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. "You're one true friend," I said.
Sidharth's P.O.V.
The next morning, I gave instructions to Daksh before I left for Singapore. He had to guard her, day to night and make sure that she has everything she needed. If any problem came up, he had to call me and still, he had to track Ronit Sen. I left and went to the airport and got on my flight. Again, I drank throughout the flight. I was worried about leaving Shehnaaz alone in that place and didn't even trust Daksh enough to stay with her. I trusted no one but myself to be with her. I have to clear this deal early and return. As I reached Singapore, the company I had my meeting with welcome me at the airport and took me to my hotel. Without wasting any time, I instructed to meet the owner of the wine company I was there to buy the same day. "Sir, the boss is extremely busy today. You won't be able to meet him," his employee said. "I don't care. I am only here for two days now. One week is out of the question. If I don't meet him today or tomorrow, then the deal is cancelled," I said. "I will try my best sir," he said. He left the room and I settled in. Later that night, the owner of the wine company called me. "Mr. Sidharth, it's a pleasure having you in our country. I assure you that buying this company will be extremely beneficial for you and it will profit you a lot," he said. "I want this meeting tomorrow, no matter what. It's either tomorrow or never," I said. "Mr. Sidharth, I'm sorry but, I have a full day tomorrow," he said. "I only need fifteen minutes to decide and sign the papers," I said. "Then, done sir. I will meet you tomorrow for lunch," he said. "Done," I said. I hung up the phone and looked at a picture of Shehnaaz as my screen saver. I put it there so that everytime I put my phone on, I could see her.
