Sidharth's P.O.V.

Again, today, I did something I never expected of myself. I ate dinner with my butlers! Shehnaaz probably doesn't understand how much my life have changed after meeting her. I was not only grateful for her in my life but also for the influence she had on everyone around her. Whether she agrees to it or not, protecting her and keeping her safe will forever be my number one priority even if she belongs to someone else. I sat and looked at her, trying my best to not smile in front of anyone and admired how she went on comfortably with my employees and how happy she made them feel. Later that night, I gave her some of my clothes to sleep in and escorted her to the guest room. She looked around with a smile and then turned to me. "Do you want to sleep here or another room?" I asked. "I'll sleep here," she said. "If you need me for anything, my room is right next door," I said. She nodded. As I turned around to leave, she ran up to me and grabbed my hand. Her facial expressions changed a bit to worry and sadness. "What's wrong?" I asked, cupping her cheeks. "You are alright, right?" She asked. "What makes you think I am not?" I asked. "I know that something is wrong. You left a while ago also stressed and angry," she said. I sighed and said, "You don't have to worry about me." "And you have all the rights in the world to worry about me?" She said, "This isn't fair." I decided that the best thing to do right now was tell her the truth. In that way, she will also be alert for her safety. "Come," I said. I led her to the bed and made her sit down. Holding her hand, I said, "I need you to listen to me carefully, ok?" She nodded. I took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to tell her. "You are in danger because of me," I said. Her face didn't hold any fear. "There is one of my rivals that is paying someone to click your pictures without you knowing. I found him following me as well and I caught a hold of him," I said. She dropped her shoulders and smiled. "This is not funny," I said.

Chuckling, she said, "We all have to die one day anyways." I frowned. "But I know that as long as you are with me, nothing can happen bad," she said. "Don't ever say those words again to me," I said, sternly. She smiled sadly and looked at me. "I wish you could find the one person responsible for this all in the very beginning," she said. I frowned. How do I tell her now that Ronit is in my captivity? I don't want to stress her out with every problem at the same time. "Don't you say that yourself?" She said. "I am different. I don't want to hear that from you," I said. "Ok, I'm sorry. Relax. As long as you are with me, no one can hurt me," she said, "I know that for sure." I pulled her closer to me and hugged her sighing. "I didn't know that my words would have hurt you this much," she said, "I'm really sorry." "It's ok," I said, breaking the hug. I cupped her face and said, "It's quite late. You should go to sleep." She nodded. I left the room and went to mine and changed out of my suit. I had a bottle of whiskey in my room and I sat, sipping slowly on it. I mentally went back through all the moments I spent with Shehnaaz ever since I first saw her outside Suman Mehta's office. Admitting was hard for me but the truth remained that Aditya was the lucky guy that got her. I got up and went back to her room and saw her sleeping, peacefully. I stepped closer to her and simply looked at how perfect she looked even asleep. "I wish," I said in my head, "I wish I could have been the one for you in this life. But even if I can't be with you, I will still stand by you. I will always be there when you need me, Shehnaaz. Always and forever." I smiled and looked at her for a minute before retiring back to my room.

Shehnaaz's P.O.V.

I woke up the next morning and stretched, lazily. I looked around and found myself in Sidharth's home and smiled. As I was sitting on the bed, too lazy to get out, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I said. Daksh entered with a frown and looked at me. "What happened?" I asked. "You have to get ready. Sidharth is waiting for you downstairs," he said. "I will but tell me, what happened?" I said, confused. "You will find out soon," he said and left. I quickly changed back into my own clothes and met Sidharth downstairs at the table. He was having breakfast and I went and sat at the table. Patil, one of the servants turned over my plate and I smiled. I took some bread and butter and played with it for a while, looking at Sidharth to know what was going on. When he wasn't looking at me and concentrated entirely on his plate, I asked, "What is happening?" "Have your breakfast. I need to carry you somewhere after," he said with a long, stern face. I ate the bread in silence after that as he looked agitated and I didn't want to make him angrier. After breakfast, he took me to an old building and I got out and looked at it. "Where is this?" I asked. He came around to me and slowly held my hand. "You need to trust me now. Do you?" He asked. I nodded. "Come," he said and led me inside. I got the shock of my life. Raja and Kushal were wounded and tied up to a chair. My eyes immediately welled up as I trembled at that one horrific night. I looked at Sidharth and turned around. He held onto my hand strongly and kept me back. "You can do this," he whispered to me. I didn't have that amount of strength to face these evil people and couldn't even bring myself to look at them. "Shehnaaz," he whispered in my ear, holding my hand tighter. I looked at him and his nod gave me some courage. I turned and looked at them as they held their eyes wide open. Sidharth took me away and into a small room. Ronit was tied up with chains from the roof, hanging. He was badly wounded and beaten.

I felt horrified and looked at Sidharth. "Wake him up," he said. Daksh took some water and soaked him, making him wake up in a jerk. He looked at me and frowned. "Sheh..." he started but Sidharth punched him, making him stop. I jumped in fear and my heart raced. "Don't," he said, "Don't take her name on your nasty tongue." He held my arm and pulled me closer. "Look at this girl," he said, "The girl you destroyed. Or tried to. Look at her! She's back, strong. And now, she will punish you in her way." He looked at me and said, "He's yours to punish." I trembled as I gathered all the courage I had inside me and walked closer to him. Clenching my fists, I looked at him and remembered the exact pain I felt in that moment and began slapping him nonstop, taking out all my anger on him. I continued and continued until my hands felt as if they were about to fall off. I stepped back and bounced into Sidharth behind me. I turned to him and panting, I hugged him tightly with tears of satisfaction flowing down my cheeks. He caressed my back and comforted me like always. "Thank you," I said. With my arms wrapped around him, I looked up at him and smiled between my tears. He wiped them away and smiled at me. Ronit spat blood on the ground and scoffed at us. "You did all of this for her! She's used and thrown away already by me," he said. I felt enraged and took Sidharth's gun from behind his back and pointed it to him. "Shut up!" I yelled, "You're proud of what you did, aren't you? Every sin has its punishment and every sinner has their day. Yours is here." I pointed the gun to his foot and shot a bullet with my eyes shut closed tightly. I trembled as the shot echoed in my ear. Ronit screamed and yelled in pain as his one foot couldn't support his weary and wounded body. I walked up to him and held the gun to his chest. I knew I wouldn't pull the trigger but warned him, "The next time you even think about raping another girl or raise your eyes to look at another girl, remember this."

I spat with disgust on his face and left him. "Castrate him," Sidharth said to Daksh. I looked at him shocked at his plan and shook my head. "No, he has been punished enough. Let him go now," I said. "No," he said, shaking his head, "He had a lot of pride in his manlihood right? Let's see what he does now." He held my hand and was pulling me out when I heard Ronit's fearful screams, "Shehnaaz! I am sorry! I won't ever do this again! Don't do this! Let me go! Stop them, Shehnaaz!" Sidharth kept dragging me out without looking back and I, in my heart knew that this is what he deserved. I left with Sidharth and went to his office with him. "Aren't you going to drop me home now?" I asked. "You have to meet one more person," he said, getting out the car. I frowned and followed him inside and he went to a different floor from where his office was. As the elevator opened, I looked at the floor and it had a sign reading, 'Accounting.' I understood what he wanted and whom he wanted me to meet. I stayed inside the elevator as my heart raced to step out and face my father. Looking back at me, he said, "Come." He held his hand out for me and I held onto it and stepped out. I looked at everyone staring in our direction, making everything a lot more awkward. Dad was one of the spectators in the crowd and he looked at me, stunned. Sidharth turned to me and said in my ear, "Go and get him." My throat hurt with my suppressed cry and my heart couldn't take the distance any longer. I ran up to him and hugged him, tightly, weeping my eyes out. "Papa, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," I said. He was stiff. Not a muscle moved in his body and I could sense his state of shock. Everyone were looking on at the scene but it didn't bother me too much.
