Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
I stood in the kitchen, cooking dinner as I was lost in thought about the occurences today. Everything that happened will leave a longlasting mark on my life. Seeing Anu rushing to me with a knife in her hand made my life flash before my eyes. As always, Sidharth came to my rescue but I can't stand him being hurt and in pain because of me. I sighed as I stirred the food in the pot, half-heartedly. I wasn't feeling like doing anything. I had a great sense of my energy being drained out of my body and my vision soon began to get hazy. My knees felt weak and my eyes were slowly closing down.
Sidharth's P.O.V.
I took a bath and changed my clothes before going to check on Shehnaaz in the kitchen. I understood that whatever happened today left a fear in her mind and I had to be by her side to help her through this and take care of her. As I stepped inside the kitchen, I noticed Shehnaaz about to faint away. As fast as I can, I ran to her and held her quickly in my arms before she fell down. Her eyes were slowly closing down as all her body weight rested on me. Lightly tapping her cheek, I tried to bring her back to consciousness but it was all in vain. Slowly, blood started coming out of her nose. Immediately, I began to panic as I lifted her up and ran to the hall calling for Meeta and Ajay. I laid her on the sofa and began rubbing her palm to try and wake her up or get any kind of response. "Shehnaaz! Wake up, please?" I said between my tears. Meeta and Ajay came and looked on in shock before Meeta dropped on her knees and continuously began calling out to Shehnaaz, helping me in trying to wake her up. My brain stopped working as I looked at her. "We need to call a doctor," Ajay said. As his words reached my ears, I took out my phone but my hands shivered too much to even hold it properly. I trembled in my state of fear and confusion and Ajay took the phone from me. He quickly called a doctor and kneeled down besides me. Resting his hand on my shoulder, he said, "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to our Shehnaaz. The doctor is on his way." I quickly took up Shehnaaz in my arms and carried her up to her room. Laying her on the bed, I sat by her side and held onto her hand. Using my thumb, I wiped away the blood from her nose. Time was quickly passing by and the doctor wasn't here yet. Frustrated, I yelled at everyone, "Where is this bloody doctor? Someone get a doctor quick!" "Don't worry. The doctor is on his way," Ajay said. "I don't want excuses!" I screamed, "I want a doctor right now! If your doctor isn't coming, then call another one!"
"I'll call him back," he said, leaving the room. I sat next to Shehnaaz, lightly caressing her hair as I said to her, "Nothing will happen to you. Nothing should happen to you. You are a fighter. You have to remain with me." Ajay came back into the room with a doctor and I quickly got up. "Doctor, please check her," I said, panicked. "Please, you all step outside. I will check her," he said. "I'm not going anywhere. Whatever you have to do, do it right now," I said, sternly. He nodded after some silence and began his check up while I hovered behind him, praying for her safety. He stood up and turned to me. "I think you should carry her to the hospital for an MRI," he said. I frowned. "Why does she need to do an MRI? What's wrong with her?" I asked. "Until we don't do these tests, nothing can be said. Internal injuries can only be figured out through these scans. I will recommend an MRI urgently. If possible, tonight itself," he said. Meeta came to me, sobbing. Clasping her palms before me, she pleaded, "Please. Please, save my sister. Do anything but please save my sister." My eyes filled with tears as I looked at Shehnaaz on the bed. "I'll get whatever tests needed to be done on her. Nothing should happen to her," I said. I took her up in my arms and went downstairs. Quickly, I instructed my driver to take out the car and I got in with her. We went to the hospital while I held her in my arms, protectively. Reaching the hospital, I rushed inside with her and the doctor started preparing for the MRI while I waited in the ward with her. After some time, the doctor came with some nurses and ward boys and took her away. I waited outside the room. I continued to pray silently, "Please God, don't let anything happen to her. She kept your fast with great devotion. Don't let her suffer like this. Please, make her well."
