Sidharth's P.O.V.
As soon as we got home, both Shehnaaz and I started sneezing from being soaked. Rain was showering angrily from the sky as lightning struck and thunder rolled every few seconds. Freezing cold breeze blew hard making us shiver. Daksh came up to us with a frown, observing us both from head to toe with his mouth open and his eyes widened. I wiped my nose as I asked, "What are you looking at like that?" "Shehnaaz," he said, looking at me, "Am I seeing properly? Did Sidharth get soaked in the rain today?" "Yes, you are seeing perfectly correct," she said, "And guess what, he didn't only get soaked with me but he got soaked with me in the middle of the road, while hugging me." I sneezed, rubbing my nose. "I'm going to faint," he said, dramatically. I lightly punched his arm saying, "Stop your melodrama. You have become so over the top filmy while staying with Shehnaaz." She gave me a proud smile before sneezing once more loudly. We both went on and on until Daksh said, "Go and change into something warm. I will send some ginger tea for the both of you and I have a lot of work to finish here." We looked around at the chaos happening in the house with workers scattered all around doing some work either decorating or cleaning. The house felt full of life and energetic. "Once I change my clothes, I'll be back to help you with the preparations," Shehnaaz said. "No need," Daksh said, "It's your last few days as unmarried people. Go and spend some quality time with each other." He winked at me making me feel awkward. He giggled as he said, "Don't worry at all. I will handle everything here. I can set up a movie on the terrace for you if you want. You two just go and relax before your big day." Shehnaaz looked at me with a smile saying, "He isn't going to budge from his decision to do everything alone so let him have his wish fulfilled." "That's a good girl," he said to her and turned both of us away.
Pushing us to the staircase, he said, "Go to your rooms and treat yourself to some quality time. Brighten up your skin a bit with some rest so that you both look gorgeous on your wedding day." Without saying anything, we both went upstairs. "Daksh seems to be more excited than the both of us for this wedding," she said. "Yes, he has been waiting for so long for I to settle down. I think seeing this come true is greater than we can imagine for him," I said. "He won't let us come downstairs now so what are we going to do?" She asked before she sneezed again. "First, go and change your clothes before you get sick. I'll meet you in a while and we will figure out something to keep us occupied," I said. "Okay," she said, "But you wear something warm. I don't want you getting sick. I don't want my groom sneezing throughout our wedding." I smiled as she went into her room and I went to mine. I took a hot bath and wore a hoodie and trackpants to remain warm. As I was about to leave my room to go to Shehnaaz's, my phone rang and it was one of my clients. I decided to deal with this before I go to Shehnaaz so that we won't have any disturbances due to my work. I answered the phone and agreed to a quick teleconference call to discuss some details about our project. I slowly sipped on the ginger tea while speaking to them on my laptop.
Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
I took a bathe but wasn't able to find anything warm enough in my closet to wear. I got an idea to take one of Sidharth's hoodies since they looked extremely comfy. In my bathrobe, I stuck my head out of the room and looked around. Ensuring that no one was around to see me, I quickly sprinted to Sidharth's room and locked the door. I saw him sitting on his bed with his back turned to me. A mischievous idea popped into my head to distract him a bit and I sneaked up behind him. I cheekily wrapped my arms around him, hugging him when I realised that he was speaking to some people on video call. They stopped their conversation and looked at me as Sidharth held onto my hands, teasing me. "Gentlemen, please meet my fiancé," he said. Embarrassed, I quickly pulled away and ran into his closet. Perhaps, then he saw that all I had on was my bathrobe. I cursed myself under my breath, feeling awkward of what those people probably were thinking of me. Quickly, I took off the robe and wore one of his oversized hoodies. It fitted my body like a dress and covered until my thighs. I was alright with this since I wasn't going back outside and was going to remain in my room for the remainder of the day. I dared not go back outside to face Sidharth after my stunt and stood with my ear attached to the door so that I can hear when he is finished speaking. "Okay gentlemen, thank you," he said. There was silence after that. I could hear his footsteps coming closer to the closet and my heart raced. Inside, I feared that he would scold me for my misbehavour. He knocked on the door and I remained mute. "Shehnaaz...." he called, knocking again. I still couldn't gather courage to answer. "Open up, I need to talk to you," he said. He sounded calm and slowly, I opened the door with fright plastered on my face. I looked down at the floor, waiting for his anger to burst on me.
