Sidharth's P.O.V.
I was working the next day when Daksh came into my office with his iPad and frowned, worried at me. "What's the matter?" He asked. "You have to see this," he said and handed it to me. There were pictures of Shehnaaz and me from last night. While we were on the bed, at the table and even when I was leaving. I frowned and asked, "Who do you think could do this?" "I'm not sure sir," he said, "But I have an idea." "Who?" I asked. "Ankit Khanna," he said. I leaned back on my chair and thought about it. It could be true. "Let's go," I said getting up. I buttoned my jacket and left the building. We went to his office and I entered without listening to the objections of his employees. I barged into his meeting and he frowned at me. "What nonsense!" He said, gritting his teeth, "Hey! Who let them inside?" "Sorry sir, we tried to stop them," the guard said. "Get lost," he said and looked at me. "I am warning you Khanna, if you try to interfere in my life, I will kill you," I said. "What are you talking about?" He asked. "Did you or did you not send people behind Sidharth sir to take his pictures and spy on him?" Daksh asked. "I don't play hide and seek. I didn't do this," he said. "Lies!" I said, slamming my hand on his table, scaring his clients, "Only a dog can do something like this." "I didn't do it!" He said. Nodding, I looked at him saying, "Don't worry. I will find out soon. And trust me, if it is you, be ready because I will cross my limits as well." I left his office and while leaving, I noticed something. There was a man on a motorcycle, clicking my pictures. "Stop!" I said. The driver stopped. I got out of the car and showed myself to the man. Quickly, he got on his motorcycle and rode off. I went to the driver's seat and followed him. He sped the bike as fast as it could go and I put all the horsepower I had in my car to catch him. I raced the entire surroundings with him but he got away in the end. I drove to Shehnaaz's office and barged inside. She frowned at me. "Sidharth, what's wrong?" She asked, looking at me.
I held her hand and said, "You have to come with me, right now!" "But, I'm working," she said. "I don't care. You are coming with me right now," I said. "But..." she started when Suman Mehta came out of her office. "Sidharth? What's the matter?" She asked. "I need to take Shehnaaz somewhere. It's really urgent," I said. "Is there any problem?" She asked. "I can't explain that right now. We really need to go," I said. "Ok," she said. Aditya came out next and looked at us with a frown. Shehnaaz didn't speak a word and packed her stuff. She left the office with me and Aditya followed us outside. "Sidharth, what's wrong?" He asked. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine by tomorrow," I said, holding his shoulder. Shehnaaz frowned at him as I hurried back to the driver's seat and left. "What's wrong? Will you tell me?" She asked. "Someone is keeping an eye on us," I said. Turning to me, she asked, "What do you mean?" "Someone came and was taking our pictures last night at your house," I said. "And were your bodyguards sleeping?" She asked. "They came from the back," I said. "What is all this about now?" She asked. "I don't know. I will find out tonight. But while that is not solved, you can't return home," I said. "What do you mean I can't return home?" She asked, "Where will I stay?" "With me," I said. I drove her to my house and we got out. I looked around and saw no one and not the man I was chasing. "Come," I said. I led her inside and she looked around in awe. "This is your home?" She asked, looking around. "Yes," I said. "You didn't tell me you lived in a palace," she said. "It's a house," I said. "Home," she said. I frowned. "It's a house," I said. I walked to the bar and began making a drink for myself. She followed me and sat on one of the stools. "Why don't you call here home?" She asked. I gulped down my drink and said, "Home is where you have family waiting for you. This is just a house." "Then, why not find someone and make it home?" She asked. "I lost this game already," I said, looking at her, "My first choice and best choice is with someone else."
"Does she know about your feelings?" She asked. I shook my head. She dropped her shoulders and frowned at me. "Well, if you don't tell her, how will she know?" She asked. "She doesn't need to know. And drop this topic now," I said. She came and took my bottle away from me. "You won't drink today," she said, pouting. "Don't be childish," I said, taking back the bottle. She grabbed it back and hugged it closer to her. "I won't let you drink," she said. "Shehnaaz," I said, getting up. "No!" She said and began running around with the bottle, trying to escape from me. She stood secured behind one sofa as it created a barrier between us. "Listen, give me back my bottle," I said. "No! Never!" She said and ran into the kitchen. I followed her, only to see her emptying the entire bottle in the sink. My butlers looked on in shock. She smirked at me and looked proud of what she did. I frowned, disappointed at what she did but remained silent as I didn't want to hurt her. I simply left the kitchen and went back to the bar. I got another bottle and looked at it. "Sidharth," she called, behind me. She aimed a marble at me and threw it, mashing the bottle in my hand. In this process, I cut my hand and she frowned. She immediately came running to me and held my hand as I looked at her concern for me. Tears developed quickly in her eyes as she kept apologising, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to cut your hand. Sorry, sorry sorry." The pain I was feeling felt numb as I looked at her. "Where is the first aid kit?" She asked. I didn't answer because I was too busy looking at her. She shook her head and ran into the kitchen to ask my workers. I got up and went to the sofa and sat down, looking at my blood flowing without any fright. She came running back to me with the medical kit and sat down next to me, holding my hand. "Show me," she said. Very gently, she dressed the cut and placed a band-aid on it.
"I lo..." I started but my phone rang. I frowned and looked at the one person that always disturbs us in the worst time, Daksh. Answering, I said, "What?" "We got him, sir," he said. "Hold him, I'm coming," I said in a deep tone, gritting my teeth. I hung up and looked at a worried Shehnaaz. "Where are you going? And who are you talking about?" She asked. "Don't worry. Stay here and don't leave, no matter what. I will be back in one hour. Don't leave the house," I said, emphasising to her. I got up and she held back my hand, saying worried, "Sidharth, what's wrong?" "Nothing," I said holding her hand, "Everything is fine. I'll be back." I left and went to our warehouse where we kept the photographer as well. Daksh was looking through his camera while he was tied up. "What did you find?" I asked. "Here you go," he said, handing me. There were multiple pictures of Shehnaaz. Gritting my teeth at him, I asked, "Who asked you to do this?" "No one sir. You are misunderstanding me," he said. I rolled my eyes. People never tell the truth in the first attempt. "If you don't tell me, I swear, you won't live to say anything else after that," I said. "Ankit Khanna," he said. I knew it! I clenched my fists and threw the camera on the ground, smashing it and taking the memory card. Turning around, I began storming out saying, "Let him go." I got into my car and went to Ankit's house. I barged inside as my men tackled his, outside. He was sitting at the table with his family when I went up to him and grabbed onto his collar. Pulling him up, I punched him as hard as I can and he fell to the ground. I picked him up and pushed him against one of the pillars in his home. "What the hell! Don't you have anything better to do than trespass people's property and get violent?" He yelled. "How dare you hire a cheapskate to click a girl's picture?" I said, furious. "I don't know what you are talking about," he said. I stepped back and took out my gun. Pointing it at him, all his bodyguards pointed theirs at me and mine at them.
"Don't even think about that," he said. "I don't care of consequences but your deed deserves punishment," I said and shot his arm. He fell on the ground, holding the bleeding wound. His bodyguards were just about to fire when Daksh said, "I won't do that if I were you." Ankit hissed in pain on the floor as he looked up at me and said, "I will get you for this Shukla." I glared at him and left the house, unharmed. I went back home to find music blasting from the system and Shehnaaz dancing around the table while serving food to my butlers. I was taken aback and Daksh was amused. "Come everyone! Eat as much as you can before your snobbish boss returns," she said. I frowned. Daksh left my side and went to the table with a huge smile. "Hi!" She said, gleeful. "Hi. Can I have some as well?" He asked. "Sure," she said. She clearly didn't notice I was standing here and continued. I stood and looked at her for a moment until she asked, "Where is the mafia man?" "Over there," Daksh said and pointed to me. Everyone's attention came on me and the butlers stood up at once filled with fear. Shehnaaz frowned and looked at me. I went to the table and glared at everyone intensely. Everyone held their heads down. "Why aren't you all eating?" I asked. They looked at me surprised. "Sit down and have as much as you want. You all deserve it," I said. I sat at the head of the table and they hesitated in sitting with me. I took a metal spoon and banged it hard against the metal pot making everyone flinch. "Sit down!" I ordered. They obeyed quickly. All inside me, I was amused seeing their reactions but kept it to myself. Looking at Shehnaaz, I asked, "What's on the menu?" She smiled once more and turned off the music. She served my plate of food and from the aroma, I knew she was the cook for tonight.
