Sidharth's P.O.V.

At the end of the day, my back was in pain sitting in the car the entire day uncomfortably but it was all worth it if it meant being satisfied of Shehnaaz's safety. I looked at her leaving the building with Aditya but she stopped and looked suspiciously at my car. I didn't know if I should be proud of her keeping an eye out and being alert because she can catch me red handed and mistake me for stalking her. She got into the car and left with Aditya. If I follow them, she can get more suspicious of me. I allowed a few cars to drive in between us in the hopes that she stop noticing my car so much. The car drove to the main gate entrance of my house and I took the secret gate at the back to get in. I hurried inside and changed my clothes so that Shehnaaz doesn't see me in these and recognise me from earlier. As I was changing, I heard my room door opening and quickly wrapped my towel around my waist. Shehnaaz barged into my room and halted seeing me in my towel. Her eyes opened wide and her mouth was left agape. We both immediately became red in embarrassment. She turned around and covered her eyes shouting out, "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! I am so sorry I came into your room without knocking. I am so sorry. I didn't know you are changing." I quickly grabbed my bathrobe and wore it hastily. I cleared my throat embarrassed and said, "You can turn around." "No!" She exclaimed, "I am good like this. I don't need to turn around." "Did you have some work with me?" I asked. "Me?" She asked confused, "No! Why?" I was confused a bit. "Because you are in my room," I said. She was silent and I couldn't see her facial expressions. "I....I....I came here by mistake," she said. I started to enjoy seeing her flustered and began stepping closer to her slowly. "I mean," she said softly, "I...." she turned around and bounced into my chest.

As she was falling back, she held onto my shoulders and my hands automatically held her waist. She looked up at me with her eyes wide once more. I couldn't help but to stare into her eyes which captured me. My mind was forcing me to look away but I simply couldn't. I could feel her hands tightening on my shoulders and her body shaking just a bit. "Sidharth...." she said softly with her lips trembling. "Why did you come into my room?" I asked again, "I wouldn't let you go until I get my answer." She stared into my eyes with the same passion and was silent. I couldn't help but to wonder if this closeness had the same effect on her as it had on me. "I....I....How can I...answer if....you are....so....close...?" She stammered. "Why?" I asked. "I....am....trembling," she said. I lifted her up and made her steady on her feet once more without moving my hands off her waist. She stood close to me as her fingers clutched onto my robe. I could hear her heavy breathing as I could feel the uneasy rhythm of her chest moving back and forth. "Why are you trembling?" I whispered into her ear. She stepped back and looked into my eyes once more. "My words are....lost," she said. My hands dropped from her waist and she looked away, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I will talk to you downstairs in a while," I said. She nodded without looking at me and ran out of the room. I smiled, amused and shook my head as I got a new memory to cherish. I changed into my clothes and left the room to go and meet her.

Shehnaaz's P.O.V.

I left Sidharth's room in a hurry and went downstairs into the kitchen. The tense atmosphere that was there made my throat dry up and I desperately needed water. I filled a glass of water and gulped it down. "What am I doing? Have I lost my senses? Why did I just barge into his room? That's so disrespectful," I scolded myself out loud. "You're right," Sidharth said coming into the kitchen, "That was so disrespectful huh, Shehnaaz. I didn't know that you are so bold to enter a man's room without knocking atleast one time." "I am sorry," I said, looking down. "I need a beer," he said and went to the fridge. "Why do you drink so much? Didn't I tell you that it is bad for your health?" I said. He, despite my words, took the beer and opened it in front of me. "What did you have to tell me?" He asked with a gloomy look. "I am not telling you if you plan on drinking that," I said, folding my arms. "It's only one. One isn't going to get me drunk," he said. "I don't care. One will lead to another and another and I don't want you to drink," I said, stubbornly. He sighed and pushed the bottle aside. "Tell me," he said, sitting on a stool. "I had something to ask you," I said. "Ask," he said. "Where were you today?" I asked, grinning innocently. "Why?" He asked, pulling the beer back to him. "Don't think I am going to let you drink that," I said, pointing my finger at him. "What will you do?" He asked. "I will drink it, think about it," I warned. "The last time you were drunk, do you remember what happened?" He asked. I lowered my eyes. "Shehnaaz," he said sincerely, grabbing back my gaze, "I won't drink more than one beer. Don't worry." "No!" I said, "Not even a sip." I grabbed the bottle from his hand and emptied it inside the sink. "No alcohol," I said, "And now, answer my question."

He buried his face in his palm and asked, "What question?" "Where were you today?" I asked. "I was in the office," he said. "Lies!" I said. He looked at me and then asked, "Where else could I have been?" I leaned on the counter and smirked at him. "Outside my office, spying on me the entire day," I said, teasingly. He frowned and at the same time, looked a bit surprised. "Nonsense," he said, getting up and turning to leave. I quickly ran around the counter and stopped him from leaving the kitchen, holding out both my arms to block him. "First, tell me, you were outside my office today, weren't you? And you were the guy in the cafe with the leather jacket," I said. "What childish behaviour is this?" He asked sternly, "Do you really think I have an entire free day to sit in a car outside your office the entire day?" "When did I mention you were in a car?" I asked, smiling. He was proving my point right that he was indeed looking out for me the entire day, leaving behind all of his work. Inside me, my heart strings were tugging at his gesture but I wanted to hear it from him directly also. He held my shoulders and span me around, exchanging sides with me. I looked at him with my mouth open wide and joined my eyebrows together, narrowing my eyes. He smiled a little bit hit my nose with his index finger and said, "You're too cute." "Tell me please? It was really you in the cafe. You gave me permission to leave the house with Aditya but still remained protecting me the entire day, didn't you?" I said. He cupped my face and caressed my cheek with his thumb. "I wasn't," he said, looking deep into my eyes. He stepped back and left the kitchen. I pouted and folded my arms across my chest. "Let's see how long this mafia takes to open up," I said.

I took the empty beer bottle went outside, behind him, pretending to stumble. "Sidharth!" I screamed. I made the best drunk face I could have and held the empty bottle in my hand. I walked up to him, pretending to lose my balance here and there so that he thinks I am drunk. I climbed onto the tea table in the living room and looked at him. I pointed him saying, "I know it was you! You came and waited the entire day outside my office to make sure I am safe, didn't you?" "Shehnaaz, get down from on top the table and I will tell you everything," he said, coming closer to me. "Stop!" I yelled. "What am I doing?" I silently asked myself. "Don't come closer. Answer the question! You hate when people avoid your questions. Now answer me! Right here, right now!" I said. Daksh and some of his other bodyguards came and looked on in shock. "Daksh!" I yelled, "Tell your boss to answer me!" "Shehnaaz....." Daksh said but I shut him up demanding, "Tell him to answer my question!" This is so much fun. I concealed my amusement as I continued. Daksh looked at Sidharth and frowned. "Hey, didn't I tell you to tell him something? What are you waiting for?" I said, "Tell him otherwise I will jump and take my life." Daksh's face was full of enjoyment, as was the other bodyguards. "Sir, I think you should answer her questions otherwise she will jump off and commit suicide," Daksh said, giggling a bit. Sidharth glared at all of them. "Hey you!" I said snapping my fingers at Sidharth, "Who are you trying to frighten with your big eyes? Look at me and answer what I am asking you." "How much did you drink?" He asked. I giggled and turned the bottle upside down. "Oneeee.....twoooo...." I said, "Threeee.....five." "Uhh, You forgot four," a bodyguard said. His bodyguards look more stuck up that him but they are more humourous in fact.

"Mr. Sidharth Shukla, did you or did you not protect me the entire day? And you made Daksh lie even to me that you were in some very important meeting. I want to know. I want to thank you. I want to give you the credit and appreciation that you deserve. Please, tell me," I said with a sad puppy face. He sighed and came closer to me. "Why do you want to know so badly?" He asked. "I felt your presence. I knew it was you sitting behind me in the cafe. I only want confirmation. I want to be reassured that even if the entire world, even if my own father isn't there to protect me, I can always count on you," I said, meaning every word. "And if I say no it wasn't me and you get disappointed?" He asked. I smiled and said, "I can never be wrong about feeling and knowing your presence. Never! Impossible!" He stood in front, below me and folded his arms. I bent down a bit to be closer to him. "It wasn't me," he whispered. The mischief in his eyes told me that he wasn't being truthful and that was enough for me. For me, that was his confession. I was enjoying the light mood my act was creating for everyone who was always tensed and square and so I decided to put up with the act a little longer so that they can have a good time for a change. Also, I was having too much of fun acting drunk and getting so much attention. I stood up straight and held my lower back. I bent left and then right, stretching myself before I shouted out at the top of my lungs, "Daksh, music!" Daksh immediately heeded my words and put on the music as everyone, including Sidharth stood and looked on at me and what I was about to do.
