Shehnaaz's P.O.V.
As the afternoon was drawing to an end, I started to get ready. I did the little makeup I knew and wore a bold red lip to compliment the beautiful dress and left my hair down. I stuck the rose gifted by Sidharth behind my ear and wore the earrings. The look was complete, looking elegant and classy. If my family or anyone who knew me in the past saw me like this, they would be shocked. Above all of the makeup, expensive clothes and jewellery was the glow of Sidharth's love on my face which was the highlight of my look. I sat and looked at myself in the mirror to see if I missed anything or rather, if everything was done good enough to match Sidharth's expectations and standards. My phone beeped and I looked at Sidharth's message. "Meet me on the terrace and come quickly. I can't wait to see you," he sent. I was a bit perplexed as I thought he was carrying me somewhere fancy with the gifts he bought for me. Nevertheless, I got up and looked at myself one last time in the mirror before I left the room. As soon as I opened the door, I noticed a trail of rose petals created a walkway leading away from my room. I was surprised at when all of this was done and how I didn't have a single idea. Smiling, I walked along the trail with a smile. I reached a flight of stairs leading upstairs and I went up to find the most beautiful terrace ever. I never thought about exploring the house too much hence I had no idea of such a magnificent part. It was filled with the fragrance and beauty of different flowers and lit up romantically with little candles all over. I looked around, taking in the spectacular beauty of the place and as I turned back around, Sidharth was standing there, waiting for me. My smile turned into a blush as he looked dashing in a blue suit with his hair neatly jelled into place. I could see his eyes moving up and down on my body as he looked at the dress on me. Slowly, I began to walk closer to him as everything else faded away and all I could see was him, standing at the end of this trail, waiting for me.
My heart was throbbing so hard but I still felt a sense of peace being here with him. As I was getting closer and closer, he stretched out his hand and I held onto it. I stood in front of him without words to describe how handsome he was looking. I didn't want to spoil the moment also by saying anything. I just felt like without saying anything we were understanding what was in the other one's heart. "This dress looks absolutely, drop dead, stunningly gorgeous on you. You made it beautiful," he said as our eyes locked with each other's. He raised my hand like a gentleman and kissed it as butterflies fluttered in my stomach. "You look really very handsome as well. I love this suit on you," I said. For a moment, my eyes moved to the moon and I smiled. "The moon is making everything so much more romantic, isn't it?" I asked. "I don't need to look at any other moon. My moon is brighter and much more beautiful than any moon of this universe," he said, staring at me, "Come." He led me to a small table set up with red roses and candles along with a bottle of champagne and food. He pulled out the chair chivaloursly for me as I sat down. He sat opposite me and held my hand. I looked at the food which looked and smelt fantastic. "Did you cook all of this?" I asked. "With my own hands," he said as I smiled, "I took up the phone and ordered it all." I giggled. "It's okay. It's the thought that counts," I said. "Next time, I will cook for you with my own hands," he said. "Hmmm....like you did this morning," I said, amused. "Hey, that was your fault okay," he said. "How so?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "When I have such a beautiful face in front of me, how can I ever concentrate on anything else?" He said. "You're flirting with me?" I asked. "I am flirting with my own girlfriend. Why are you getting jealous?" He said.
"I am not jealous. You have all rights to flirt with your girlfriend," I said. "You look so beautiful tonight, I literally can't take my eyes off of you. What have you done to me?" He said, resting his chin on his hand. "Only you have the right to look at me also," I said, as I bent my head, shyly. "I don't even feel like eating," he said. I frowned at him as I said, "Don't say that. Come, let's eat and you can look at me as much as you want after." "Promise?" He asked. "I promise," I said. I turned over his plate and served him before I took my own food. We sat and enjoyed the meal in each other's company with a perfectly romantic setting. Finishing our food, he said, smirking, "After such a meal, don't you think we should do something to burn the calories?" I understood what he was hinting towards and bent my head, blushing profusely as I couldn't open my mouth to respond. He got up and came around the table to my side while my heart felt as if it would jump out of my body any minute with the pace it was beating. Feeling shy, I dared not even look up at him. Holding his hand out for mine, he asked, "Dance?" Finally, I raised my eyelids and met his intense eyes. Willingly and without any questions or objections, I held onto his hand and got up. Holding onto his left shoulder, I held onto his right hand as my heart fluttered hearing the song he chose while I simply stared into his eyes, completely lost in them. Holding me possessively in his arms, we swayed together....
