Shehnaaz's P.O.V.

That night, I laid in Sidharth's arms and looked at him for a long time as he was fast asleep. In my heart, I only hoped that I was able to provide some comfort to him and share some of his pain, just like he always makes my pain vanish. Who would've thought that the mafia I first met would open up to me and cry like a baby like he did tonight. Who thought that he would show me his most painful wounds and be so vulnerable before me? I fell in love with his sensitivity tonight and appreciated how genuine he could be. This is the kind of guy I always dreamed of, a wholesome human being. I kissed his chest lightly and rested my head on him, taking a deep breath and closing my eyes while hugging his body tighter.

The next morning, I woke up after having a peaceful sleep in his arms. I opened my eyes and looked up lazily at his smiling face as he looked at me. "Good morning," he said. "Good morning," I said, resting my chin on his torso. "How did you sleep?" He asked. "I had one of the best night's sleep," I said, "All thanks to you." He held my hand and intertwined our fingers, kissing my knuckles. "Thank you for last night," he said, holding my hand to his cheek. "I should be thanking you," I said. "For what?" He asked, confused. "For making me fall in love with you all over again," I said, hugging him, resting my head back on his chest. He caressed my shoulder with the arm he had around me and we both remained quiet. The best sounds I was hearing were his beating heart and his breathing. "For the first time in such a long time, I felt completely secure with someone. Someone whom I could share my weakest side with and not fear being judged," he said, "If you weren't in my life, I would have carried this burden on my heart forever." "Our destinies are joined together. No one and nothing could have, can or ever separate us," I said. "You always know to say the right thing," he said. "Not only our destinies but our hearts, our souls are one. You don't need to tell me and I will know what is in your heart," I said. "I really don't feel like going to work today. I just wish to remain here with you, spend time with you," he said. I understood his emotions and said, "Then stay with me." His body stiffened as he asked, surprised, "Really? Do you mean it?" "Yes, my mafia," I said. "As you wish, mafia's girl," he said, hugging me tightly and pulling me even closer. I snuggled in his arms, comfortably and closed my eyes once more. "Shehnaaz," he said. "Hmmm...." I hummed. "Don't you have to get up and do your prayers and eat?" He asked. "Just five minutes more," I said. "Ten minutes more," he said, kissing the top of my head.

Half an hour passed and neither of us made any effort to get up. The peace I felt with him was magical and indescribable. I never would've thought that my life could be so beautiful after all that had happened with me. "If we remain like this, the entire day will pass by just like this," I said. "This is only a glimpse of what the rest of your life is going to be like," he said, tugging my heart strings. "How do you manage to make my heart flutter everytime?" I asked. "You yourself answered this. Our hearts are one. We are one," he said. I raised my head and looked up at him. "I love you," I said. "I love you too," he said. I got up and looked back at him still laying there. "Go and get ready. I have to go and prepare for the pooja," I said. He sat up a bit and leaned back on his hands resting on the mattress. "Go, I have the entire day with you," he said, smirking playfully, "Imagine all that we can do." My face flushed in red as I lowered my eyes at once. "Oh my God!" He exclaimed, falling back dramatically, "When you blush, it does something to me!" "Dramaqueen," I said, shaking my head. He held my hand and pulled me onto him. Slowly, he tucked my hair behind my ear and looked at me with his intense love shining through his eyes. "My queen," he said in his husky voice, "You bring all the drama into my life. I had to learn one or two things from you too, right?" My mouth was left agape as I asked, "Am I a dramaqueen?" "Any doubt?" He asked. I playfully punched his chest as he pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me while I laid on top of him, giggling. "By the way," he said, "You looked so hot in this saree last night. If it was up to me, I could've married you right then and have our nuptial night." Immediately, my heart raced as I dared not look at him after his statement. "What do you say?" He asked as his hands caressed my back.
