"Ready?" I asked Fenrir. He nodded his head and started to turn away.
"Wait!" I grabbed his tail. He flipped around, growling at me. "So scary."
"What?" He spat out. I smiled deviously. I threw a bag over him, tightening it to his flank.
"Do I look like a horse to you?" He snapped at my hand, but I didn't flinch.
"You told me to pack a lot of Elixirs. I have done that. I just can't carry it all and keep up with you." I glared at him. He sniffed and turned his head away.
I looked around at the battlefield that I last saw everyone. Fenrir and I buried the bodies. Frost's body was the hardest one to tuck in the bed of Earth. I covered her in Calla Lilies and white daisies. They frosted over instantly and I sobbed away the pain. I promised her I would be back. That I wouldn't cry after this. I promised to her that I would survive for her. I shoved her spear into the ground with her sword cross crossed. They both froze as well. "I will see you, my friend in another life."
There, by the bonfire that never burns out, I saw a twinkle. I walked over, hesitant. It was the reflection of the fire hitting Poppy's sword. I picked it up and sheathed it next to mine. I had already gathered my arrows from both places that I fought. I had found a lot of different sized daggers in our shed and I tied them all to different parts of my body. I was an Elve, a light one, going across the lands to the Dark ones. I had to have as much protection as I could.
There was nothing left for us here. I picked up the bags of Elixirs and tied them to me. Those with my bow and arrows felt uncomfortable but eventually I would be out of Elixirs and I wouldn't be running around with these.
I grabbed Fenrir on the flank and tried to materialize to the Dark side. Nothing happened. We were in the same spot.
"It isn't working. They must have a which deflection outside gifts. The kind that theirs don't possess." I shook my heading disbelief.
"Then you will have to explore like most people... by walking." He sneered at me. I rolled my eyes and started running towards the Dark part of the realm.
"Are you sure you want to come?" He was jogging next to me.
"I have a promise to keep to you. I will protect your Pappy." I wasn't expecting that answer, but I nodded.
"There will be Dark things in the forest that aren't on this side. They will be mean and try to eat you." I looked at him in the corner of my eye. He just smiled, seeming amused.
We didn't say much until it was way in the night. I couldn't run anymore and we weren't half way through the realm. This is the time that I wished that I could transform into an animal. I would be faster and it would be easier.
I sank down on the ground and started a fire. I pulled out some leftover kill that we had last night. I tossed Fenrir a leg from the sea creature and he tore into it like he hadn't eaten for days. I only nibbled on a boar and some bread. I wrapped it up and put it back in a bag, laying down for some sleep. Fenrir got up and walked over to me, curling up around me. I laid my head on his paw and his head wrapped around mine. His tail curled along my legs. To anyone's eyes, it was just him. Fenrir was hiding me from any animal that came our way. It was sweet.

"Get up." Fenrir nudged me with his muzzle. My eyes fluttered open and the fire was out but it was still dark out. Fenrir was half on top of me growling loudly
"What's wrong?"I asked. Then I heard it. Howls all over the place. We were surrounded. Fenrir could take on 3 or 4 alone, but it sounded like there were 20. We would have to fight pretty hard through this.
