"What the Hel, Vanish!" Fenrir roared as soon as I stepped through the front door.

"Fenrir--"

"No, you don't understand. We are a team, we work together not all on your lonesome." His eyes closed, his breathing became more even, his hands unclenched. "Vanish, I told you I would follow you, did I not?"

"Yes."

"I have kept my word and tried to keep you safe, have I not?"

"Yes."

"Whose powers are not working properly?"

"Mine."

"Exactly. So riddle me this, what happens when you are encountered by Poison again? You can't just vanish away from her, or become invisible and you didn't even have your bow and arrows on you." Fenrir shook his head.

"I did what I had to. You don't care about finding Drake, you don't like him and you never did. I care about finding him. With that being said, I will be going back to see Amber tomorrow night at 11. I will find Drake and his Father. Then off we go to rescue my tribe because with out him, our plan is nothing. Got it! And if you don't like it then leave!" I burst out.

Fenrir stared at me for a few heartbeats. "What makes you think he is going to help?"

"He said he would, that's why."

"He is human. His incentive to help you was for you to return him here. He is already here. You skipped the rescue. You lost him the second we came here. Why go through the trouble"

Fenrir was right, I messed up. I brought him back to his world, alive, with out getting my end of the deal. What have I done? What is the point of continuing on in this quest to get him back? He has helped as much as he could, for one. Even as a human, he tried to be protective, brave, couragous... all admirable traits that I wish human kind could uphold. He was one of the rare ones. With faith, I know he would try and rescue me if the roles were reversed.

But the roles aren't. He is human. I am a Light Elve."I will go through the trouble because that is who I am." I walked past him and climbed the stairs to the top.

"At some point, you willl have to stop trying to rescue everyone whose in danger." Fenrir muttered.

"Til then, my plan stays." I continued walking down the hall and back into my temporary room.

"It's 11:02, are you positive she is coming?"

"Calm down, she said she'd be there. Keep in mind Humans are always late and never on time." I wasn't sure if that was true but I said what I needed to say to get Fenrir to keep his mouth shut. I looked at Maddy in the back seat asleep. It was a lot easier having him in his true form than that awkward teenage body.

"It's 11:03. She isn't coming, lets just go and we can look for another way to get your little human back." Fenrir grumbled.

"You need to have more patience in your life."

"Patience? Vanish, if it was up to me, we would already be at the Kings Castle fighting to get them back. It has been two weeks--"

"--one and a half.."

"--yet we haven't even gone into the Dark sides land yet! You realize that I have had patience but you are wearing it thin, right?" He continued as if I didn't attempt to correct him. "How many of them do you think is actually alive right now? Who knows, maybe 6 of them died tonight because you decided it was worth going on a search and rescue mission for a human instead of protecting your own blood."
