"Pappy." I said very quietly, making sure not to startle her. She seemed to not have heard me. I tapped on her shoulder, "Pappy."
"Vanish?" She turned around slowly. "Oh, you brought a lot of food. Well, hello Frost. It is always nice to see you."
"Hello, Animialia." Frost crossed her forearm over her heart and bowed.
"No, Pappy. This is Fenrir. He is hurt and needs your help, please?"
"Of coarse." She walked over to the Hati wolf and knelt down. Fenrir whimpered but lifted his head on to her lap despite the pain it caused. She smiled down at him and begun her song. She sang the flowing chants to send the wolf to sleep and slowly, slowly, his eyes shut.
I asked Pappy one day what she does with her voice. She told us you can control anyone's emotions with certain pitchs and octaves of someones voice. Low ones will send you to a calming state, high will give you an energetic state. You can call on any animal depending on the pitch of your voice. She tried teaching me, once. It is helpful in the hunt, she would tell me. She tried teaching me to call on a wolf, a bunny, a Nicker, an Eagle. When I tried calling on the Eagle, Phoenix landed next to us and that was how I met him.
"Will you help me make the Elixirs?" Pappy said, pulling me out of my memory.
"How?" Frost said.
"Vanish, take Frost to the garden to get the ingredients for an Elixir for healing skin, healing muscles, stopping blood, energy absorbers, and strengths." Pappy muttered at me as she pet Fenrir. I nodded, grabbing Frosts hand and appearing in a tree in the Kings garden. I looked around before dropping to the ground, making sure no one was here. I ran around picking branches off, berrys off bushes, pulling a few mint leaves, vines and other herbs. I made sure to take triple of what we usually get, considereing Fenrir is triple our size.
"Woah, you still from Royalty? You truly are bad ass." Frost said laughing with me.
"No, we borrow. I do work for them without getting paid. This is how I get paid." I said winking at her. I grabbed the last petal off of a Blooddrop plant when someone screamed from behind us.
"Hey! You don't belong here!" I turned around to see four guards running at us. I was about to drop what we collected and take aim with my arrows but Frost beat me to the punch. All the guards feet got frozen to the ground. "Hey! Code green, Code green!" They all yelled. Frost laughed and froze their lips shut.
"Time to go?" Frost asking me while laughing. I nodded and held on to her hand, appearing at the pot in the middle of the kitchen. I sat everything we collected down and organized them. I threw in the ingredients for stopping the blood first. Thankfully, each Elixir took a few minutes for it to be created. I poured each brew into 8 different tiny bottles, handing them to Frost to give to Pappy.
"Thank you, girls. I hope you didn't get in much trouble this time." You could hear the hidden questioni behind her statement.
"I always do, Pappy. This time, Frost froze their feet to the ground and then their mouths to keep them from screaming. It was funny." I said smiling at her.
"It didn't take you more than five minutes to get it done." Pappy noted.
"I memorized where it all is, Pappy, so I vanished us to where we needed to be and hurried up." I said slowly, curious on why the speed mattered.
"Well, good because he doesn't have much time."
"Good thing this is all done." I said walking to be across from her and kneeling down
"Pore the blood stopper on the wounds." She said. I poured 7 bottles worth, glad I got as much as I did. "Now the muscle healers, then the skin." I did as she said, happy again it didn't take as much as I made. Pappy started singing as I poured the healers on and as she sung, I watched the muscles stitch themselves back together and same with his skin and fur. She shifted what sh was chanting, and with ease, Fenrir woke up.
"Fenrir?" I said petting where his wounds use to be at. He started growling and I knew it was because he thought the wounds were still open. I chuckled, "Fenrir, they are healed. No need to be like that." He turned his head to look, but I could see he was lacking energy. I handed Pappy the rest of the bottles and she opened them, grabbing his muzzle lightly and pulling it towards her.
"Here, darling. Drink these, you will feel better." She nodded and poured it into a bowl for him to lap up. He finished drinking them and laid his head back down on her lap. She sang him to sleep again but then he stood up and walked to the rug in front of the fireplace, while asleep and just because Pappy sang him there. "Lets cook the food then."

"Fenrir?" I said, lightly patting his shoulder. He jumped up and had my shoulder blades pinned to the ground. His teeth where like razors around my throat. "Fenrir! It's just me! Vanish, please get off." I cried out, not daring to move an inch. A snap of his jaws and a twitch of his muzzle was all it took to break my neck.
He side stepped off of me, not taking his muzzle away but letting me breath better. I lay there silent and forcing my screams to stay silent. He started growling, "don't you know not to wake a wolf up, puny girl?"
"Dinner is cooked..." I let my sentence die off and closed my eyes to keep the tears from spilling. His mouth moved away from my throat an inch, but that was all I needed. I vanished to the other side of the room, keeping distance between us. Fenrir snickered but walked over to Pappy's side, resting his head on her shoulder.
"Thank you, my dear. I owe you with my life; A debt to be paid at any cost and any time." He then bowed his head and lowered his front legs.
"No, no need. I specialize in this, it is what I do. Please, eat." She motioned at the food for him. Frost and I sat at the couch, waiting for him to take his portions. He ripped off the hind legs of the Buck and the Nicker, going back to his mat to eat. Pappy was next, then Frost and then I finally had my turn. I took some Buck ribs and a Nicker fin and settled around the fire.
"When do you girls go on your mission?" Pappy asked.
"How did you know it was both of us?" I asked her.
"By how tense Frost is. She is a bit... Pale." Pappy tried cracking a joke. I shook my head at the bad joke but laughed anyway.
"After we finish eating." I muttered.
"Mission?" Fenrir gazed up at us while tearing a chunk of meat off.
"Oh, my. They are coming so soon?" Pappy said ignoring Fenrir. She looked disturbed.
"What mission and who is coming?" Fenrir stopped eating, looking straight at me. I lowered my gaze back at my plate.
"Yes, we have to follow them tonight--" Fenrir's bark and growl interrupted me. "None of your business, mutt!" I snapped.
He pounced at me and knocked my chair over. His face was inches from mine, growling and snapping. I screamed in frustration and vanished to being on top of his back. I pulled his ears up, forcing his head to look at the ceiling. He jumped back, but knowing he was going to land on me, I vanished to his stomach as he landed. I pressed my knife to his stomach.
"Really, wolf? Want to try that again? All I have to do is open right here and your guts will come out. Not even Animalia can heal you!" I growled back at him. He kicked me off of him with his hind legs into the wall. Pappy and frost jumped between us, making an obstacle for us to go through.
"Just tell him Vanish." Frost said.
"The Dark ones are marching to our lands tonight. I have to be there just in case they plan to strike. If they plan on it, I go and warn Royalty, then start assassinating as much as I can before our warriors get there." I spat out. I walked to my plate, threw the rest into a clothe, tied it and went to my room. Before slamming my door, I heard the words "The prophacies" come from his mouth.
