"Fenrir, where are you?" I yelled. He came trotting out of my room with Pappy behind him. "Pappy, where is Poppy?"

"Asleep in our room."

"The War is starting and I need to bring you to safety. Will you go wake him up?" I asked.

Pappy wasn't gone for a minute before I heard yelling from Poppy. Fenrir was staring at me the whole time and I must have had a scared look on my face because he came to my flank, somewhat standing in front of me. I threw my hand through his fur and leaned in. "If I don't through this... you protect Pappy from him. Kill him if needed, but don't let him harm her, please. If something goes down between him and I in here, you take Animalia out." I said sighing.

"He will not touch her."

"Thank you."

"Or you."

"She is your first Priority, though." I shook my head. He didn't have time to argue, even though, his chest rumbled as soon as Poppy walked through the doors to his bedroom. He really isn't the kind of person you want to wake up. He is the kind that usually wakes up on the wrong side of the bed.

"What is so important that you had to wake me up for? Did someone call you a bad name and you got your feelings hurt?"

"No, but--"

"Are you hurt physically?" He asked.

"I am not, but--"

"Are you dying?"

"Not exactly, but--"

"Well, that is just great. There is no reason, once again, for you to wake me up. Yet, once again, you did!" He grabbed the table and threw it at me. Still holding on to Fenrir, I made us Transparent enough to make it go flying through us, even though he stepped in front of me to block the attack. It was really sweet of him, but I am capable of protecting myself against my Poppy.

"It is fine Fenrir," I whispered. I took a deep breath before I started talking to Poppy. I knew what I was about to do might be the worst part of the War, the climax of it all. "Are you done ranting, princess?" I asked him.

His eyes got big and he drew his sword. I took out my knife. "I am fine with leaving you here. I can take Pappy and Fenrir to safety while you are here alone."

"The safest place for Pappy is with me. I doubt there is any reason for them to get to safety anyway."

"There is if you would just listen instead of acting like the dark ones!" I insulted him. "Speaking of which, is here to enslave us! I will be one of the ones leading the War and I am here putting you to safety!" I yelled at him. It definitely shut him up. "So if you are done whining, let's go."

He grabbed Pappy's hand and walked toward me. Pappy held hands with me while Poppy touched Fenrir's shoulder blade, ignoring Fenrir's warning growl. I took them to the headquarters.

"Poppy, we haven't been here in ages..." Pappy said.

"How did you know about this, Vanish?" He said.

"I work for them," I replied. "The War is part of my Mission. I have to silently kill off the Guards."

"Alone." He said. It wasn't a question, more of a statement.

"Yes." Details weren't important. I knew he didn't approve of Frost, so why bring him into it? I love you Pappy. Fenrir, protect her. Poppy, don't get yourself killed by the wolf." I turned to go.

"Vanish," Poppy said. I turned back towards him. "Kill as many as you can. When you are in a war, avoid your emotions. Turn them off and don't even pay attention to them. Instincts first. Emotions later." He nodded towards the exit and I knew he dismissed me. Butt-head.
