Chapter 20 guys! :3 So this chapter wasn't really planned. I originally wasn't going to have them go see his family and such, since he might die in the upcoming battle. That may or may not be a spoiler. When I write, I kind of don't realize where I am going when it comes to be so it shocked me as much as it probably did with you all. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I thought it would be a good idea for you all to understand Drakes background and how he came to be. Sorta. Well, you will see ;)

It only took 2 days to drive to where Drake lived originally. The car ride there was brain numbing with Drake messing with what they call a radio. Apperently, talking boxes aren't evil assasins. I learned that the hard way after having a freak out and stabbing the first one to what I would assume to be death for the 'radio.'

He taught me how to work it, taught me some words to the songs he did know and had me sing along with him. To our great satisfaction, it irritated Fenrir to the depths of hell. Countless times, Fenrir would turn it off, take the nob for the volumn off and hide it. Everytime Drake would start to drive, he would find it. Once we knew Fenrir was asleep, we would turn it on to the highest level and sing as horrible as possible.

It was entertaining the first day. It certainly got things off of Drakes mind. Fenrir turned back into his grumpy wolf self after getting us the huge SUV car. He 'had to sleep with the human girl to get it for free.' He took one for the 'team.'

I never got out of him what he was hiding. Drake didn't give me many openings to do so. I wondered countless times what could be bothering him. He emphasized the word gone, so I wondered maybe a relative was dying. Did they all move? What was gone?

Was he mostly upset about going to college? Our world has college so I can understand how that could be upsetting. I wanted to go to college myself. I wanted to talk to Drake about going to college, him and I both.

He once told me he graduated early and wanted to go be a doctor to save peoples lives. I remember that conversation clearly. Does his views on that change now? Devour has plants and Elixers that are better than the Humans and it's untouchable here. Infact, I am concerned that all the ones we have now, will dry up and won't be of use to us anymore.

"Vanish?" Drake took me out of my thoughts.

"Yupp?"

"Are you hungry?" Drake looked away from the road. My stomach answered for me, growling loudly. He gave me his crooked smile, "I will take that as a yes."

"I don't know how much of the human worlds food my stomach can handle," I answered honestly.

"Then a salad and deer it is. I bet if we went to the ocean, we could find a mermaid for you to swallow up."

"Mermaids are disgusting to eat. They are way too salty." My lip went up in disgust.

"A bridge for trolls?" He suggested. I hit his arm. Humans and their stories of us.

"Just get me whatever is good here in Texas." I smiled at him.

"What-a-burger?" His eyebrows shot up. "Actually, I don't think you would want grease. Lets go to Ted's buffalo grill."

"What is that?"

"A grill... that serves buffalo." He glanced at me from the side. I wonder if he realizes I don't know what a grill is.

He pulled into a Ted's and got sat immediately. Fenrir, being the grump he was, went hunting on his own. He says him and I can switch back to our forms here if we wanted to. That meant I looked different here than at home and I still have yet to look at myself.
