"Vanish," Fenrir grabbed my arm, "we don't know what's behind there. Let me go first, then Amber and then you and Maddy."

"Amber should stay here." I retorted. "I am fine to go first."

"Like hell am I staying here! No, I am coming with." Amber shot back.

"It's too dangerous for you." I interjected.

"I can handle my own."

"Look Witch--" Fenrir started.

"--Pagan," Amber corrected.

"--I don't have the time or patience to have to keep an eye on you and Vanish while trying to save the Human." He continued as if she hadn't spoke or corrected him. I thought about telling her that he was going to continue calling her a witch whether she want's him to or not, but decded against it. She will find out quickly.

"It won't be me that you will have to keep an eye out for. In fact, you need me. If that is my Clan behind this, what makes you think they'll hurt me? I can even talk to them, on your behalf and probably prevent a fight that none of us want to happen." She shook her head. "Plus, if this isn't my Clan, then I need to know why they did this and if this is a declaration of war on my Clan."

"It's too risky and too dangerous for you. I need you here to make sure that no one comes through the portal that shouldn't or worse, someone comes in."

Amber walked up to Fenrir then and poked at his chest. "Who do you think you are to boss me around?" She poked him again, "I don't know how your--" poke "--world works or who made you--" poke "--in charge of this mission but I, for one, don't take orders--" poke "--from punney--" poke "--men--" poke "--like you." Poke.

She turned on her heal. "Anyone else have any objections? No? Alright. I am coming. End of discussion." She threw her bag over her shoulder and flipped her hair over the other.

She took one step forward and went through the blackness of the portal.

I looked at Fenrir and watched him grab the bags from the floor, grumbling under his breath and stomping his way after her through the portal. I looked at Maddy and smiled. "Between you and I, I think she is going to keep Fenrir on a tight needed leash." Maddy cracked up from that. I took a step through the threshold of the portal.

Everything slowly faded to black and then faded back in place, but instead we were at a different field of grass, with even more boulders surrounding us in a circle. "Where are we?"

"It's called the 'Stonehenges.' We are in Europe. This place is full of power and energy and would explain how they were able to create my portal with out me. Gosh, this place. I can feel the energy running through me and... I feel the power. The history. Everything." Amber stared at her hands, then snapped her head up to look at us. "Can you feel this? It's glorious and wonderful and--"

"No." Fenrir snapped. "I feel off. I feel like we should run from this place hard and fast. I feel like someone is watching, about to pounce on us or strike at any given moment."

"No, this is peaceful. I feel alive and as if I am one with everything here." Amber shook her head. "You just sound paranoid."

"Cautious, not paranoid." Fenrir started looking around. "Do you here that?"

"Here what?" Amber asked.

"It's like static, or something." Fenrir started pacing. "Why are we here? Why did the portal take us here?"

I ignored their bantering. I agreed with both. I could feel everything. I felt everything that had happened here before. I felt anxiety. I felt on guard. I felt the urge to run. I felt the urge to explore. I felt wired. I felt watched. I felt powerful.
