"What do you mean?"

"What?" He asked me.

"About having this covered?" I rolled my eyes. "What do you mean about that?"

He removed his hand and walked away, scooting a chair up to the bed. "I have some contacts here that can help me out with information."

"We don't need more people involved." I always get them killed or kidnapped, anyway. "All I need is for you to let me out of this house, and if you don't, I will go with out you."

"No, you won't."

"What makes you think that."

"You can't control your powers, you don't know how to fight with out them and even if you did, you aren't a good enough fighter, not only to fight with no energy, but to conquer me. So you will stay laying down like a good little Elve and if you try anything, I will have no choice but to knock you out." Fenrir stood up and walked outside the room, closing the door behind him.

As if I would allow him to actually keep me under lock and key.  I got up and tip toed to the door. What would Fenrir really do if he caught me? Was he bluffing? I doubt he would actually knock me out; Fenrir wouldn't hurt me intentionally.

I leaned my ear against the door, listening to see if he was there. I heard no heart beat, when did I ever hear a heartbeat? I heard no foot steps, that was something I usually heard well. Was it worth the risk? Well, yeah. I think.

Slowly, I twisted the doorknob an swung the door halfway open to see Fenrir with his arms crossed and smirking. "Ah!" I slammed the door closed. Laughter boomed outside the door, followed by a bang. Fenrir must have fallen on the door laughing at me.

With narrowed eyes, I opened the door and watched Fenrir collapse to the ground in a fit of laughter.  "I don't see how that is funny. I wasn't expecting you to be there. I should of known, but I didn't. It actually is pretty predictable."

"I think that must say something about you, child." He sat up, still laughing. "How did you not know I would be standing there?" His laughter boomed through the room again and he collapsed onto the floor.

I had enough; it really isn't as funny as he was making it out to be. I stepped over him and took off running down the stairs. "Oh for the love of Odin." I heard Fenrir curse under his breath followed by heavy foot steps.

I  jumped over the balcony, rolling on my back into a standing postion and took off towards the front door. A loud thump and a curse was heard behind me. Fenrir must have jumped over the railing after me and didn't land as gracefully by the sounds of it.

"Vanish!"

I swung the door open and took a step over the threshold... just to enter the house through the back door? What?

"Vanish? Where did you go?" Fenrir yelled.

I spun on my heel and went out the backdoor to enter through the front again. Fenrir looked at me, confusion cloaking his features. "What the heck is happening?"

"You lost control over your abilities. You pushed your power too far with no warning." He took a step towards me, and I took one step back, looking between seeing him from the front as well as the back.

"How do I get out of this house then?" I asked. None of this made sense. I didn't push my powers too far, that isn't possible. You just practice and practice until you can do it without a second thought. You do it until it is as easy as moving your arm, or grabbing a drink, even grabbing an arrow. "I have never heard of over working a power."

"You can't get out of this house."

"Why not?"

"One, your power doesn't seem to want to leave for a reason. Two, I won't let you leave. Three, you shouldn't leave." He crossed his arms.
